So I have already called corporate and placed a major complaint, I REALLY hope they follow up. I have been going to this location for quite some time and now purposely go out of my way to go to another location. The final straw was 3 days ago. A little history the staff are rude and lack customer service skills, yes I know this is usually a first job for some BUT this location really needs an overhaul. Almost always I use the drive thru; at the order screen there is a sign that says "please have your rewards card and payment ready". I get to the box it's usually welcome to Tim Hortons what would you like. Ok that's not too bad. I proceed to place my order, be it only one coffee or more, the order rarely ever shows up on the screen so I can verify they got it right. After I have given my order they usually don't confirm it and say and I quote "drive up", no total given so how would someone be able to have their payment ready? A lot of the time it's one or two coffees and I already know the total but that's not point they are required to tell you the total as per their "training". I get to the window the tell me my total I pay and before I can even get my card put back they are trying to shove my order in my face. I take my order and I don't get a thank you for coming, no, I get "bye" that's it one word bye. Well on this particular visit I ordered a coffee and the new chicken bacon ranch sandwich apparently that was a big mistake, should've just stuck to the coffee. I get home, live local, and proceed to eat the sandwich good thing I had food here and a garbage for their "sandwich". The chicken was so old that it actually snapped when I bit into kinda like pressboard would when you break it. So I called the store and asked for the manager. I inform the manager of my order and ask if their cooked chicken has a time limit well first she outright says no. I said are you serious, you have no time limit on your cooked food? She then asks me if I want to make an order obviously she's not paying attention. I said no I'm making a complaint and tell her my order again. She then tells me she's really sorry and wants me to come back that day, even so much as to ask "what time will you come back", and I tell her I'm not returning that day as I'm injured and cannot just run back out everywhere all the time. I ask again about the state of the food to which she responds with excuses. "We have new staff in training they may have forgotten to remove the old food." I have worked in the food industry and told her this goes against food safe and asked straight out if they are training why is NO ONE checking to make sure this type of error isn't happening. That chicken piece I received tasted like it should have been thrown out at least an hour before I was served it. Again she takes no responsibility blaming it purely on the staff in training. She then offers to replace that sandwich with the exact same one on my next visit after I have already told her it was so terrible I didn't want to risk it a second time. Yes she apologized but took no responsibility for such an unsafe error at her location. I told her I wouldn't be back to that location and I was going to call corporate again because of their lack of customer service and poor quality as I have done in the past; immediately after I did call the guest services number. This location doesn't seem to care about proper training, customer service, food safe or even handing out broken coffee cups, as they did to my boyfriend the following day but that's another story altogether, and really needs a visit from corporate to correct and/ or completely overhaul ALL the staff. It will be an extremely long time before I even attempt this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe local Tim Hortons was great until new ownership several years back. Since then the service is pathetic, they constantly get orders wrong, they seem to be out of ingredients often, most of the time I don't think the workers understand English. It can be extremely frustrating trying to communicate the order to the people working here, as it is very rare a worker has a full understanding of English. They would be much better off hiring locals that need work rather than the Temporary Foreign Workers that seem to be exclusively working here. After over a year I decided to try Tim Horton's in the Walnut Grove area again only to find the quality and service has not changed, it is still terrible. I am editing my rating to 1 star from 2, if I could give zero stars I would. I thought I would give them another try, but like clock work, they screwed up the order again, lol. It is almost comical now, but a joke from a business perspective. It seems there is a much better chance of finding a worker that understands English if you go during the day, however after 5pm it can be absolutely brutal. I have been to Beijing and found people that understand better English than...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever have I ever had such continuous poor service from this location. I think my last experience here will be my very last. The "supervisor" was taking orders and clearly I was taking up to much of her time. When my boys had made their decisions I placed my order with her which then she proceeded to scratch her nose with her middle finger and glared right at me. I asked 20 family and friends if they ever scratch their nose with their middle finger and they all said no! I mean come on. Then as I waited at the pick up counter she swapped positions with the girl at the sandwich bar. The first sandwich she goes to make she picks up the sauce and bottle and notices it is empty. This "supervisor" raises her voice and I quote," seriously? Common sense says you fill this up when its empty". The girl responded by saying sorry and that she wasn't given the time to do it. I would never work with someone that was so rude. This particular location has reprimanded me and always talks down to you. They really need to go a took a look at the Willowbrook location at 20th. Wow they have...
