We found this food truck in Uclulet and as it turns out, imho to be and better than any fish food truck or seasonal Kiosk in Victoria! And that’s saying a lot! The owner told me he serves fish that is local and in season as in freshly caught! He doesn’t use frozen fish. Kit had a fried tacito topped with grilled wild salmon done perfectly rare. Black bean Salsa, sprouts, and other goodies. It came in a round per container with a lid, perfect since it was messy to eat. I had fresh spot prawn bao with kimchi, sprouts and other goodies. Both are not your average food truck fare and were carefully assembled. They were tasty and and a gourmet alternative to your standard fish and chips. Quality was first rate In my picture, the owner is the friendly guy in the blue apron on the left. . The truck is located in a parking lot with their own picnic tables outside. The tables could be in a better location like near the road where it is more interesting to eat but it was nice to have a quick picnic of sorts...
Read moreI found this place on Instagram in advance of our trip to Ucluelet and I was SO excited to try it, unfortunately I never got the chance. We knocked as there was someone inside (maybe they were trying to stay warm and had the window closed) and the guys inside just yelled back CLOSED. The people of Ucluelet are so kind in ever encounter we had, but this left a bad taste in my mouth - glad we spent our money elsewhere...

Insider tip: the portions of the burritos are substantial! If you’re in a group, cut them in half or mix and match between friends. Unfortunately, they are loaded so it’s difficult to split in more than two portions, but there is enough for two in every serving and the filling is, well, very filling!
Quinoa inside makes for a great meal that provides energy for your outdoor adventures, but doesn’t sit like a brick in your...
