We found this food truck in Uclulet and as it turns out, imho to be and better than any fish food truck or seasonal Kiosk in Victoria! And that’s saying a lot! The owner told me he serves fish that is local and in season as in freshly caught! He doesn’t use frozen fish. Kit had a fried tacito topped with grilled wild salmon done perfectly rare. Black bean Salsa, sprouts, and other goodies. It came in a round per container with a lid, perfect since it was messy to eat. I had fresh spot prawn bao with kimchi, sprouts and other goodies. Both are not your average food truck fare and were carefully assembled. They were tasty and and a gourmet alternative to your standard fish and chips. Quality was first rate In my picture, the owner is the friendly guy in the blue apron on the left. . The truck is located in a parking lot with their own picnic tables outside. The tables could be in a better location like near the road where it is more interesting to eat but it was nice to have a quick picnic of sorts...

I found this place on Instagram in advance of our trip to Ucluelet and I was SO excited to try it, unfortunately I never got the chance. We had planned to go Saturday evening to grab some dinner. First we called several times in advance to place an order as recommended on the website, and no answer, so then we just drove down to the truck. Even though it was about 5:45pm and the website, along with the sign outside of the truck said open til 7pm, the order window was closed. We knocked as there was someone inside (maybe they were trying to stay warm and had the window closed) and the guys inside just yelled back CLOSED. The people of Ucluelet are so kind in ever encounter we had, but this left a bad taste in my mouth - glad we spent our money elsewhere...

Delicious burritos and bacos! If you’re looking for a light snack, grab two or three bacos to get a taste off Chef Brandon’s creativity and pairing. If you’re hungry, grab one of their burritos. Smoked meat, veggie, everything in between. They are all pretty good.

Insider tip: the portions of the burritos are substantial! If you’re in a group, cut them in half or mix and match between friends. Unfortunately, they are loaded so it’s difficult to split in more than two portions, but there is enough for two in every serving and the filling is, well, very filling!

Quinoa inside makes for a great meal that provides energy for your outdoor adventures, but doesn’t sit like a brick in your...

So.... all she had left was blackend chicken and tuna and I was really after the shrimp and kiddo had nothing to eat so we went to the fried chicken spot next to them so kiddo can get nuggets, tge uber nice gent ran out of ketchup...so my daughter went to the Salty to ask for a bit of ketchup for her nuggets and was ignored by the (salty I guess?) Lady..... so I went and was immediately told " NO I dont" .....while the two ketchup bottles were right in front of her and I..... HORRIBLE business.....

Had the chadzilla burrito for $20. It was good but way too big. It was so big that it was almost impossible to eat logistically, I wanted a fork and a plate, and there was no chance of finishing it which is just a waste of all that meat. Also kind of had too much quinoa. Definitely take the 'at least 10 napkins' that the very friendly chef recommends. He is not exaggerating!! Quinoa and the delicious sauce gets everywhere. Would have rathered a $10 burrito that was half the size.

Brandon and his team are passionate about good food, and they definitely deliver on that! They catered our wedding in Tofino, and everyone was raving about how great it was. Best wedding food, and BBQ I’ve had in a long the. Brandon went out of his way to help with other planning details too, and was just a huge help and a great human being. I will be visiting the food truck again too when I’m back!
