Relic Surf Shop and Surf School — Local services in Ucluelet

Relic Surf Shop & Surf School is far more than a shop, & a school. It is a hub & a surf haven. I was attempting to get my son a nice line up of interesting gifs for his august birthday & one of my stops in that gifting journey was Relic. I was seeking the perfect surf poncho for my son, one that would suit his aesthetic sensibility & be right for a region in which a lot of rain falls. I got good advice from both Jess on the phone & Dax on the phone & in person when I went to the store located on Peninsula to buy the poncho. Dax also was very accommodating with regard to any changes my son may wish to make re materials, rain protection etc. Thank you again Dax. You are a star.. My son has long been a fan & customer of Relic. Indeed he has a good & personal relationship with its owner, so I am confident I can always find him the perfect gift at Relic. Great local surf shop stocked with plenty of gear and good vibes! I had the pleasure and good fortune to visit Ukee during a weekend of sunshine AND waves! The staff was so friendly, informative, and super accommodating. The fleet of boards is mostly NSP and softtop but I feel like generally that works for the waves there - I would have liked a bit more of a performance rental but ultimately the 8’ 6” worked. I would advise bringing your own wetsuit since the suits they offer are fine enough, but not as flexible as a higher end suit which could possibly affect your session - other than that they provide everything else for a reasonable price (racks, booties, hoods gloves, wax and a rinse tub)!!! Ok. So I have to say, the staff here are 100% solid as can be. Nothing less than being extremely helpful and caring. My girlfriend and I went for some surf lessons with these solid bros and they kicked ass! I had some rust to break and my girlfriend had a trauma to over come. My man saw that my girlfriend was having anxiety and took her aside and fully instilled faith back into herself about being in the water. If not for that, I'd of been paddling out by myself. I can't explain how much it meant to me for this, especially after the lessons when she's out waiting for rollers and I was like damnnnn! Lol. Anyways, super proper outfit. I would recommend them ever day of the week. If you are in Ukee and need anything to do with surf, check these pros out. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again...
