Today: used the app as I was walking towards the shop, pressed “send” or “Order” on the app, opened the door and went to the front, a cheerful cashier asks “what can I get you?” And I said I ordered via mobile. Luna, who was at the expresso machines, was already mixing the matcha in a cup, and was then handed the steamed milk, and said “Iven?” This is yours. . I swear it was less than 25 seconds in the store and I got my cup of unsweetened matcha latte. Wow!!
(3 years ago) I have been coming to this BLENz since I think it was located here, many many years now, and the sine qua nom is their service - and of course the Matchachillo - which is my favorite drink of all time. Different owners have come and gone, but whoever has been in charge has a knack for good people friendly, and efficient service served with a great big smile. Throughout this COVID, when they finally re-opened, the new owner Irene is just as friendly and cheerful as her staff, even and in spite of the hard times her store has faced. Thankful they (and Irene!) is here and hope they are here to stay for a long line while...
Read moreMusic too loud and not suited for a cafe (in my eyes), new staff doesn't seem aware of how to make some drinks, the place is becoming increasingly unkept.
Don't get me wrong, I have been going here on a regular for a few years now and this particular blenz was among my favorites, but with recent staff changes things have been progressivelly going downhill. Staff members are becoming increasingly disrespectful, spending lots of time chatting loudly, probably just to shout over the music (way too loud and makes you feel like you're supposed to be in some club with your cup of coffee). Dishes left behind by people are taken care of by incoming customers (I had to clean a used table myself before sitting down, handing dirty dishes to the staff), and evening cleaning starts way too early (at 7ish when the place closes at 10pm?), and they lock the bathroom at 8 in the evening. For a coffee-serving place that seems unusual.
So recently I started to feel like the staff just doesn't want customers there, and moved on to cafes with better service...
Read moreMy husband and i were there earlier this morning, we ordered two beverage, a double espresso for him and a vanilla soy latte for myself. I have never experienced such bad customer service in a coffee shop before. A lady came in, who i will assume is a regular customer based on how the barista reacted when she came in, the barista knew her and her "regular order" and just as expected, she got her drink way before ours was even ready. they started making her drink (a Green Tea Matcha)as i literally stood there watching them. i unfortunately had to leave as i have work and waiting for them to decide to make ours would take a long time. That was not the only thing, they also combined our drink into one!!!!! literally they made it into one order. so now we got delayed and our drinks was wrong and we have to watch the other lady enjoy her beverage. As a consolation though, they upgraded my medium drink into a large. From what i know, you're suppose to make the drinks in the order that they came through not WHO came...
