I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now, and I have always gotten their tasting menu and have been drawn back to its exquisite flavours. A few years back, the liver mousse with apricot and the steak frites were my all time favourites and I always craved for it. (The menu itself is quite small, and the most recent time I went back, I found that the new rotation of dishes weren’t as memorable as some of the previous ones) I always thought that the tasting menu was on the more expensive side, but since the ingredients were quite high quality, i didn’t mind paying for the extra $$$. I had participated in dine out for the first time this year so I had the chance to make comparison- and it never stroke me that the menu (I believe it was $55 per person, 2024) shared a 5 course meal with a small one bite amouse-bouche (so 6 in total, technically), and was quite small. I had compared it to other west coast fusion, including some upscale michelin locations which offered 3 courses for the same price (+/- $5 per person), and found that the value this time around at collective goods was lacking. (For 6 full size dishes, 2 entrees and 2 desserts versus 5 tasting portion dishes + a one-bite amuse-bouche). The portion sizes were quite petite, and made with modest ingredients and vegetables for the first two courses. I found myself to be less than full when I finished the meal. I do appreciate the efforts for the restaurant to constantly try new flavours and inventing new dishes- especially the sunchoke and pears and the pancetta / squash were amazing. The sablefish was a 3/5 given that the flavours were a bit too acidic and not much else (especially the pickled crosnes). The beef bourguignon was good but I found to be lacking in tenderness after trying a similar dish at the boulevard (I missed the streak frites, as it was more filling). Dessert was very rich and tasty but personally I am not the biggest sweet tooth so it was on the sweeter side. From a general perspective, I found that my satisfaction went down with the tasting this year. Nonetheless I have been a fan of this place despite the location is a bit tucked away for a few years now and will likely go again; hoping to see the feedback to be taken in so I would be back for a better experience next time.

At last thank you staff as they’re all very lovely each time I visit! The place is smaller and intimate, the only constructive feedback from me is to be mindful not to be too close into a customer’s personal space / face when communicating.

Still one of my, if not favourite french restaurant in the lower mainland. Hope to see continual updates on the menu!

Nice little French bistro type place, with an open kitchen and a small area for products you can buy. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, with a couple of other stores around.

The service was outstanding as they replaced your plates and cutlery for each dish. The server was attentive, efficient, outgoing and super friendly.

We came for Dine Out, which was $65 per person for a 6 course tasting menu.

  1. Amuse Bouche ( choux pastry, gruyere mornay)
  2. Pemberton Beets
  3. Foie and Brioche (Foie Gras torchon, haskap berry compote, white wine gelee, house brioche)
  4. Sablefish with white bean ragout, manilla clams, confit sunchoke, pickled celery
  5. steak frites
  6. chocolate Paris brest

The dishes were delicious. The amuse bouche was a choux pastrybwith gruyere, gougeres and herbs. It was nice little taster

The Pemberton beet salad was really good. The goat cheese goes well with the beets as the tartness of the goat cheese and sweetness of the beets complement each other.

The foie and honey glazed brioche was complimented by berry compote and whitebwine gelee. The brioche is soft yet it can handle the spread of the foie.

The sablefish with white beans, sunchokes and Manila clams was also good however the white beans, manilla clams and sunchoke was a little salty for my taste. It could be because I don't usually use too much salt when I cook so I can taste it more. If you're used to having a bit more salt on your food, then it may be just right for you. The sablefish was cooked perfectly as it so tender and flaky.

You can't go wrong with steak and frites. The sauce for the steak was green peppercorn however it was rich. I had to drink some water every few bites however the first bite was amazing. It kind of builds up after eating a few steak slices if there is a lot of sauce on your piece. The striploin was cooked to perfection. There is also a big mound of frites with it so make sure to save room for dessert after.

Speaking of dessert, it was a paris brest. The filling was milk chocolate mousse and caramelized...

One night in Paris... in Vancouver. A little gem that is soon to become one of the hottest new restaurants in Vancouver. Come before you have to wait months to get a reservation. The warm lighting, bistro decor and welcoming staff make this the perfect location for a romantic date, work dinner to impress, or great night out with friends. Quiet enough to talk easily, but enough vibes to feel like a sophisticated night out without having a pretentious crowd to deal with. The menu is very French bistro in the best way. My highlights were the salmon crudo so bright and well balanced and thinly sliced, the chicken liver mousse with the rich, light, pate cut with the sweet peaches and amazing sourdough toast, the bison tartare is a must if you love tartare.. it's special. The starters are ample enough that you could do light dinner with friends and order a bunch of starters to share or go and have a multi course dinner and enjoy a little bit of everything. The bouillabaisse was creamy and the seafood was tender and beautifully plated. The steak and frites and peri peri hen both were hits at our table. I had the lemon meringue tart for dessert and it was the perfect topper to the meal. There is a bar cart of after dinner drinks that are just so well curated you could pick anything on the cart and be a winner or let Shiva pick. She is so knowledgeable about all the liquor and the wines that you can easily let her take the wheel and at any price point you will not be disappointed. Bailey will make your night special if you need her to make you and yours feel like VIPs. For a work gathering or friends I'll drop her a line and she literally takes care of you like a family friend. They have a well curated store that you can shop for wines, sauces etc to take home. I left with a box of wines I had never tried before and from $20 - $60 a bottle there are many to choose from and great price points. I can't wait to come back and try everything I missed on the...
