"I love it. I can't wait for it to gain more traction, they deserve it."
EDIT: I initially wrote a quick and easy review for this place last year. Their food, prices, and the staff, made for one of the greatest experiences at a restaurant in my life. Not only Japanese food, but Korean food as well?!? This place was amazing! The price, for not only the amount of food but the quality of the food, was perfect. The owners were personable and cared deeply about the customers. Tips were dying to flood out of my wallet into their pockets last year. I just had to support it.
It's been a year now. How much has changed? The owner is no longer present during regular hours. The waiters and waitresses are young and typically in their own little bubble. No smiles, but a forced "Hello, welcome," kind of attitude. The portions have dropped significantly while simultaneously shooting the prices up by 3-5 dollars a dish. (My go-to appetizer, gyoza, has changed in price and style. Rather than a nice pan fried set of 6 pork gyoza, there are now 4 pieces of deep fried gyoza with different contents inside). Though that is tolerable, the overall price of this restaurant has skyrocketed at a speed too fast for their quality to keep up.
Considering I've been going to this place for a year now, I understand that they wanted to set the bar high to gain traction as I stated in last years review. But at the cost of losing loyal customers accumulated over the year due to greed and laziness. This place needs some better staff, better prices, and better portions.
I give this place a 2/5 stars in 2019. Why? The bar was set in 2018. The bar stands hundreds of feet higher than where Good Sushi currently sits now. Ground zero.
I hope this review causes some change in the business. If not, I wouldn't be surprised if traffic, sales, and support, stoop as low as you have in regards to your business.
I hope this...
Read moreThis place truly sets the bar high when it comes to sushi. Every dish feels carefully prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavors really shine through. The Atlantic Salmon Aburi Oshi is easily the star of the menu for me—perfectly torched on top, buttery, rich, and so delicate it practically melts in your mouth with every bite. It’s the kind of sushi that makes you pause just to savor the moment.
Beyond the food, the portion sizes are generous, which makes it an excellent value for the quality you’re getting. Prices are very reasonable compared to many other sushi spots, so you don’t feel like you’re overspending for a great meal. The staff also deserves a special mention—they’re consistently friendly, attentive, and make the whole dining experience even better with their warm hospitality.
Whether you’re a longtime sushi fan or someone just starting to explore Japanese cuisine, this place is a must-visit. It’s the type of hidden gem you’ll want to keep coming back to, and once you try it, you’ll see why. If you’re looking for sushi that’s both satisfying and memorable, this is the place...
Read moreThis place has gotten from bad to worse. I ordered tempura udon and got one small yamm and one 3 inch prawn on the side with the soup overloaded with cabbage, complete with 1/4 core of said cabbage that had visible signs of ROT. The smell disgusted me. I asked the waitress “ what is this?” She said that is udon with side of tempura. Is said but the tempura is tiny and this soup is full of cabbage with rot. I’d ordered this before and was confused. She went to the chef to complain but neither of them understood. The coward left her to deal with it. I said I was leaving and will only pay for the nigiri I ate but I’m furious. They charged me for my Diet Coke. I said I thought it was free. She said only if I leave a Google review. Well here it is. Still charged me for the coke and no apology from mgt/chef for this experience. Avoid this place if you can. It’s not Good anymore. I think they were actually going to charge me if I wasn’t so...
