Handi Grill — Restaurant in Vancouver

I feel like something happened to the cooking here. I used to go before Covid and enjoyed all the dishes. Recently I did take-out. The chicken in the tikka masala and the prawns in the goa curry were both tough and overcooked. The prawns were edible, but I'm wondering what to do with the rest of the dry, tough chicken. The flavours of the curries were good though. Also, the order was wrong - I ordered the fish goa and I thought they knew that because she showed me that she had the prawns on the receipt but she was adjusting the price down to the fish price, and then I got home and it was the prawns. The garlic basil naan was fine. It did seem like my order took extra long. Because I really liked the sauce for the goa, I will give them another chance, but they need to figure out how to not overcook things! Service was excellent and very friendly. Online ordering wasn't working with my credit card so I had to pay when I arrived. Maybe the online ordering system had something to do with the mixup. Absolutely fraudulent business. I was shocked to find out when I received my delivery that we were charged a ridiculous 5 dollar delivery charge. The woman working on the phone deemed the appropriate response was to serve me a healthy dose of attitude along with a illogical explanation. Her explanation was that it said it on the website. In reality it was nowhere to be found. When we called her back after finding this out, she replied that "oh our regular customers know about this". I guess they don't want new customers and they have definitely lost a few over here. I do not recommend anybody purchases from this fraudulent business. It is an absolute scam. Shockingly we weren't even given a receipt to explain all of this. Judging by the reviews it appears that cheating customers and poor customer is a norm. I hope that this review will at least save one person from getting scammed. Oh and by the way, the portions are also minuscule for the price.
