We recently dropped by the Honolulu Coffee café at their False Creek location and loved the experience! The café has a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere — high ceilings, lots of natural light from the big windows, and thoughtful decor that makes you want to stay a while.
We came specifically to try their Tropical Cloud drinks, and they did not disappoint!
🍵 Matcha Cloud – A unique iced drink made with coconut water and topped with smooth matcha cream and matcha powder. Super refreshing and full of flavour. We were excited to learn the matcha is sourced from local gem Paragon Tea Room – no wonder it tasted so good! ☕ Coco Cloud Brew – Cold brew coffee meets coconut cream with a dusting of cocoa powder. A fun tropical twist for coffee lovers!
These drinks are seasonal, so don’t miss them! We also paired our drinks with a strawberry croissant — crispy, flaky, and delicious.
We’ll be back. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area or planning a coffee outing with a chill tropical vibe!

Read moreMy favourite part of this coffee shop was the bathroom. Not because everything else was bad, but because the vibes in the bathroom were particularly good. Honolulu as a whole was quite good. I walked in from the cold rain and immediately felt warm and comfortable. The atmosphere is obviously tropical and boho, as per the name, but it is done in a tasteful way. I’ve been meaning to try Honolulu for a long time but I specifically went for their Hot Chocolate Fest creations. I tried the Donut, which was a decadent hot chocolate paired with a raspberry chocolate donut. I don’t particularly like the classic raspberry-chocolate duo, because if you add fruit to dessert it obviously automatically makes it breakfast, but this pairing was down very well. The donut itself was soft and not too heavy, which is a nice change from many of the donuts you can get in Vancouver. The seating options are all comfortable and varied, making the overall experience cozy and welcoming. The bathrooms, decked out with tropical leaf wallpaper and an aesthetically pleasing accent cabinet and good lighting, make for a good mirror selfie. Because we have our...
Read moreI love the other two Honolulu Coffees in Vancouver and just visited this one for the first time. This location is smaller than the other two but has the same beachy aesthetic and relaxed atmosphere, and basically the same menu. I got the Taro Bread and the White Blossom (spring 2023 seasonal drink) here. I loved the natural flavour and texture from the real taro in the bread, and because it wasn’t super sweetened, it was a great breakfast pastry. The White Blossom, which is a elderflower-flavoured oat milk tea latte with guihua flower garnish was also very good! The elderflower flavour was subtle but I liked how it gave the drink a floral undertone without overshadowing the tea. Based on all the food and drink I’ve tried at the other locations, you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I’m always a fan of the seasonal drinks and the...
