This was absolutely the worst spa and massage experience I've ever had in my life. This was not a 5-star hotel spa experience at all, not even close. I can't believe I spent $200 on the worst massage of my life, I'd gladly spend $500 if the massage was good. Here was my experience:
Prior to my visit, I had to call multiple times on multiple days because no one would pick up the phone. Some of the calls would transfer me to the front desk who would then again transfer me back to the spa who still would not answer the phone. They called me back once, but some of us work jobs where we cannot answer calls at any given time. I thought it was standard to have a receptionist at spas to answer calls??
Upon arrival, I was not offered any water etc. I had to ask & I guess the spa host forgot cuz she then asked the other 2 people in the waiting room if they themselves wanted water. They said yes.
My spa therapist picked me up spoke to me about which areas I'd like focused on which was simple - my back, neck, my arms & front of my legs & please don't touch or get oil on my hair as I've dinner reservations to get ready for after my treatment. Again, pretty standard for people to not want their hair messed with during the massage due to dinner plans. She clearly did not listen as she kept touching my hair the whole time. Her massage was felt like she was just dragging her palms and patting me on the back - did not feel like she was putting in any effort at all. I even asked for a tad bit more pressure but no effort once again. She realized she was running out of time, quickly (very quickly) did my arms & I honestly can't even remember if she even touched my front legs. She offered me tea after and she knew I was not impressed afterwards.
After my massage, I decided to just get a massage from the hot tub jets while waiting for my friend who also got a massage (they were unable to accommodate us at the same time). The hot tub was wonderful, I was there for 1.5 hours. What wasn't wonderful was there were dirty towels and empty water bottles on the deck & not one single attendant came to check &/or clean the area. A group of girls joined me and said the exact same thing. My friend finally joined me after her massage & wasn't impressed either as her RMT did not listen to her needs.
I will not be recommending anyone to this spa. Worst spa experience ever! Waste of time and money! Go to Willow and Spa...
Read moreLoved loved loved it. Got a couples massage, one RMT and one non RMT. The atmosphere was super relaxing from their front desk, to the massage room, and to the relaxation lounge. All the staff that we encountered were very kind and soft spoken as well.
The changing room consisted of showers, a steam room, hair styling tools, 2 toilets and lockers. It was kept very clean on the Sunday that I went. Their robes are super high end, super comfortable and it consisted of pockets which was very handy to place my phone!
The massage was very relaxing as well. I went for a prenatal massage and my RMT Stephanie made sure that I was comfortable and listened to my needs. She did my back, arms, neck and focused on my legs due to swelling from pregnancy. My legs and feet definitely looked a lot less swollen!
After the couples massage we were given a glass of champagne (complimentary with the couples massage) while I got a sparkling apple juice and we were taken to the relaxation lounge where there were snacks and tea at the counter.
Price wise, it's definitely on the pricier side especially on a Sunday but the experience is...
Read moreDuring COVID, I was looking for a downtown spa that still had showers available because I wanted to go for a massage after a workout (the gym showers were closed). I called around and this was the only spa that still had shower and relaxation room services available, so I booked an RMT massage here. I was completely blown away by the experience. The massage itself was so relaxing and truly wonderful, and the relaxation room was also quiet, with a very comfortable lounge chair (nicely spaced out and very private), that came with a lovely view of the city. My massage was 80 minutes long but I spent the entire afternoon here, starting with a very relaxing shower and ending with a nice time in the relaxation lounge. I also appreciated that the relaxation lounge was quiet. Not all spas enforce quiet rules so I definitely enjoyed this. After my massage, I was also offered TWG tea and some snacks while I relaxed. The only con was that it is very pricey, but you get what you pay for, which is a luxurious experience that is...
