Upon making a reservation at we were met with courtesy and efficiency, setting a positive tone for our anticipated meal. The lady who handled our booking was both friendly and helpful, which we appreciated greatly.
However, our initial encounter upon arrival somewhat dampened our spirits. We were greeted by a staff member whose demeanor was notably less warm and welcoming. He appeared indifferent to our presence, and his provision of a visibly dirty high chair for our use was quite off-putting. His lackluster approach continued as he took our order with minimal engagement and displayed a lack of professionalism at the checkout, departing abruptly post transaction.
Further concern arose when we observed him cleaning plates bare-handed without the use of gloves or a cloth, right before plating food on them. This action raised hygiene concerns and left a sour taste despite the otherwise enjoyable meal that followed.
On a brighter note, the other staff members we interacted with were a delight. Their friendly and attentive service, coupled with the delicious food, did much to salvage our dining experience. It’s evident that the actions of one individual do not reflect the overall ethos of the restaurant, which shines through in the quality of the food and the warm hospitality of the rest of the staff.
We had intended to share our feedback directly with the owner to ensure that this was an isolated incident and not indicative of a larger issue at hand. Unfortunately, the lack of accessible direct contact information thwarted this effort.
Despite the hiccup, the commendable efforts of the other staff and the satisfying meal are worth acknowledging. Yet, the initial unpleasant experience did cast a shadow on our visit, especially given the long drive we undertook to dine at this restaurant. Our hope is that this feedback serves as a constructive critique aimed at refining the customer service to match the high standard set by the...
Read moreThere’s an outdoor patio (not heated) that can seat 2 groups (max. 4 seats per table) with plastic dividers in between as a social distancing measure. Happy Hour: Daily 3:30-5:30pm where some of their regular dishes and mezze’s (appetizers) are also at a discounted price.
Hibiscus Lemonade: my favourite drink, it is a popular one that is refreshing and light
Lebanese Coke (Tamarind, Soda, Lime)
Feature Cocktail: ask your server for their daily rotations
Halloumi Fries: deep fried halloumi (semi-hard, unripened cheese made from a mixture of goat's and sheep's milk) topped with pomegranate molasses.
Lebanese Poutine: spiced potatoes with halloumi cheese with toum dressing (Toum: whipped garlic sauce).
Hummus Trio (Pesto, Original, Za'atar): They have their flavoured hummus on rotation, while the regular is always on the menu. My personal was the pesto hummus, it was rich and creamy and super flavourful. Za'atar hummus was slightly tangy and subtly sweet, which was surprisingly really addictive as well.
Makali Mezze: Deep fried cauliflower tossed in pomegranate molasses. It’s dark-coloured, but it is not burnt at all. Very nice charred/deep-fried flavour, and the pomegranate molasses adds a layer of subtly sweet flavour. I’d suggest eating it while its hot, as it gets soggy and too saucy over time as the cauliflower absorbs all the sauce.
Shish Mezze: Yogurt marinated chicken thighs (garlic, lemon, oregano, spices). Pretty simple chicken dish, but the toum dip on the side is what makes it very delicious.
Tabbouli Salad: parsley, onions, tomatoes and bourghul. Generous portion, and is a staple dish. Loved the simple dressing of olive oil and lemon juice.

Read moreFirst things first, the service was excellent. I was with a couple older friends, we arrived around 1:00 p.m. and we left shortly before 4:00 p.m. we had one server earlier on who was just fabulous and absolutely lovely, and then towards the end we had a second server who was very lovely too. There was absolutely no pressure for us to pay up and leave. So I have to say that on this level they were outstanding.
I am a bit disappointed with the food, as were my two friends. The one thing we all agreed on was lack of flavour. The food seemed quite bland. We all had a different dish, a Falafel Bowl, a lamb wrap and the cauliflower wrap. I can't remember the actual names. The cauliflower in itself was very flavorful and tasty, however I felt that it lacked substance. There was a little bit of cauliflower and a lot of lettuce. If there was tomato in it, I must have missed it completely. My friend who had the lamb wrap, also said the wrap lacked flavor. Again, a lot of lettuce and not much of anything else. The falafel bowl, three decent size Falafel balls, hummus, brown rice and a side tahini, also a pita on the side. My friend said the Falafel balls tasted good, but felt that the rest of the meal needed something to help add flavor. Finally two of us had coffees afterwards a latte and a cappuccino. Weak in flavour, lukewarm upon arrival. I wouldn't recommend ordering an espresso type of coffee from them. Again, I would like to reiterate, the service in itself was excellent. Very pleasant young women serving us. If the food was half as good as the service I would have given this place at least another star. The only reason why I gave it three stars and not less was because of the...
