Elsa Hair Salon — Local services in Vancouver

Nothing compares to Elsa's hospitality and professionalism when it comes to hairstyling (it's perm in my case.) I've been to several hair salons in this city and although there are good quality salons out there, I find the way you treat your customers are still the number one key in any business. Doesn't matter if they offer better products, friendly hospitality is a big indicator for any return customer. After all, in this day and age, it's not about what you know anymore but who you know. That being said, just trust your own judgement. Online reviews are great for context but only you can be the judge of your own personalized experience. Unfortunately it's a curse having afro textured hair in this beautiful city of ours. African business owners feel the need to charge a ridiculous amount of money for the simplest hair styles/work. Rated 2 stars for cleanliness and convinience of location. The hair barely lasted a week, I paid double what I thought would be fair pricing for something that should last atleast a couple weeks. I could tell she was unsure of what to charge me towards the end and there was some awkwardness when she told me the amount as I was made to believe it would be much cheaper. I am not one to argue about a price after the work is done and create a scene. But because of this I won't be returning as I don't have a tree made of money growing in...

Elsa is my hairdresser now for the past 7 years. She is very knowledgeable, kind and talented. She listens to her clients and advises if needed. I get many compliments after my hair is done by Elsa. Plus, I get the opportunity to see some of her clients leaving beautiful and happy with their results. Whether it’s a haircut, a colour, braids, extensions or weaves, Elsa does it all with style and class. In addition, she is amazing with kids as well. I highly recommend Elsa for any of your hair needs. In fact, when ever my mom, my sister or my daughter is visiting Vancouver they do not hesitate to get their hair done by Elsa before going home...
