New Novelty Restaurant and Sweets — Restaurant in Vancouver

Posting for my friend. These people hide the review which she posted “I was really excited to taste their food coz i read a lot of good reviews and the prices are reasonable. I ordered( 1 samosa, 1 chana bhatura, 2 aloo pranthas all for 18$) for the very first time from this place on my way back to home from work on my birthday. The samosa was really bomb so i thought rest of the food items would be amazing too. And when my roommate had the prantha she was upset because there was no salt or to be more precise no spices. I was upset so i called them next moring. Someone pickups the call (doesn’t know English.. so i talked to her in punjabi) and she said the waitress will be here soon and then i can let her know the issue. I told her and she asked me to bring back the food. I got only one prantha and she told me that chef will check it and exchange it and give me two new pranthas. I wasn’t satisfied because the prantha was burnt as well. When i got the new prantha no salt again and a lot of red chilli. And yeah she only gave me one prantha saying that i just returned one of them. The staff is not friendly at all. Next time I ordered samosa was good. So today i thought of ordering 4samosas and never knew that they charge for dipping sauce because until today I wasn’t charged that too a dollar. And today there was not even a pinch of salt. I called them and got a reply “ mam you always call and complain about no salt. You can bring it back and the chef can check. We opened by 11’o clock and i served 200 samosas and no one complained. You always complain!” And then she dares to hang the call on me. I mean am i a fool that i am here to bring back the food. And how can she be so impulsive in replying. If this was the case why they returned the prantha the first time and also i think these people are scamming people by getting the food back and serving it to other customers. I did not wanted to return because there is no point of going there and talk to these people about the problem. Never wanted to be rude or something and never wanted to put a bad review but they don’t have kind staff and they ate SCAMMING so don’t want to do any business with them. I would recommend everyone to not go there for their bad service. And the cashier/waitress is not even professional at all because my order total was 5.05 so i gave her 5.10 she returned me .25 cents back instead of .5 😂😂 i mean this is simple maths and also if you are not good with coins you better not be working...

I bought some Samos for an event and I told them a few days in advance. When I went to pick them up they were ready, warm and into a nice red package. The place looks cozy, clean and kind of renovated or something. I believe I could go with my friends to have lunch/dinner and have a good meal and time over. The ones that I got were veggie ($1.20 each) and chicken (over $3), I also asked for some sauce which was mango spicy flavour. When I tried them they were very big, tasty and those were the freshet ones I had ever had ever. I am really satisfied because they were so good and all my guests tried them and told me the same. The mango spicy sauce gave a very good pairing with the samosas and they tasted even better. The menu seems to have a lot of variety for snacks, catering, dinner, lunch, and so on and the prices are very affordable. I am very happy with this purchase I made and I will come back next time to try the butter chicken and the other lunch options they have available. I recently visited a so-called Indian restaurant in the city, and I must say it was a complete disappointment. From the moment I walked in, the place had a stale, unpleasant smell that lingered throughout my entire meal.

The menu was limited and unappealing, and the food itself was simply terrible. My curry tasted like it had been sitting in a pot for days and was cold and congealed. The naan bread was hard and tasteless, as if it had been reheated several times. Even the rice was dry and flavorless, as if it had been sitting in a warmer for hours.

To make matters worse, the service was slow and unresponsive, and the staff seemed completely disinterested in their customers. The restaurant was dirty and poorly maintained, with stained tablecloths and dirty floors.

Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was terrible, the service was poor, and the atmosphere was unpleasant. Save your money and go somewhere else for a decent...
