First off, this is not a review as a customer, but a testament to the rudeness of the man chopping food behind the counter. I went in a couple of times on a Saturday around 5:45 on Mar. 2. The first time I went in was to ask for a slip of paper because I just witnessed a hit and run across the street and wanted to leave my info as a witness. The man was nice about that and gave me a sticky note. Problem is when I opened the door, my big toe happened to be in the way and it got banged up. After he lent me a sticky, I went outside to check my toe because it was hurting more than the usual snubbed toe. When I took my sock off, I saw my nail had split a third of the way down and blood was oozing out. That shocked me until I noticed they had a steel reinforced base on their door and I was just wearing thin walking shoes. So I went back in and asked if I could get a bandaid as I just hurt my toe on their door. His first reaction was to scoff and say that’s not his problem, and that I was the clumsy one and that nothing like this had happened to anyone else. As if other people not getting injured justified his lack of compassion for my injury. I defended myself and said that accidents happen and their door has a steel base. He ignored me so I went to use their washroom to wrap my toe with some toilet paper so I didn’t bleed all over my shoe. I still needed to take the skytrain home. I told the guy I used his washroom because my toe was bleeding and he looked annoyed and kept chopping. I told him all I was doing was asking for a bandaid. It’s not like I blamed him for what happened. You can’t stop chopping for five seconds to help someone stop bleeding?? I went back out and still left a note for the owner of the damaged car. I’m not going to let one heartless person stop me from helping someone else. The reason I posted this and why I was so disgusted by his behaviour was not that he didn’t give me a bandaid. It was the fact that his immediate response was to be rude and condescending. If he didn’t want to help, he could’ve just said I’m sorry I cannot give you anything but maybe you can use our washroom to clean up? Why add insult to injury? I guess the people here only treat customers like human beings. You couldn’t pay me...

We were in Chinatown having a nice late lunch a block away.. while I was waiting for the food to come, I was cruising Yelp to see if there is any nice place for dessert. And the listing for Oyster Express popped up.

Not your traditional dessert but.. we love Oysters so we had to give this a try.

They have Happy Hour from 4:30 - 6:30 pm daily

Today's Happy Hour Special was: Little Wing from Desolation Sound

We ordered a dozen to start.. and they came all shucked and ready to eat within 10 minutes.

The waitstaff brought us the condiments.. Vodka Pepper - HOT HOT HOT House made Cocktail Sauce House made Mignonette with Shallots and Red Wine Vinegar

The oysters were also served with lemon and fresh parsley and fresh horseradish.

Theses morsels were fresh, meaty and creamy. We tried different combination of condiments to enhance the natural flavor, my combo for these Little Wing was Fresh Horseradish, Fresh Parsley, Squirt of Lemon Juice, Dash of House Made Cocktail Sauce. So delicious.

We ordered another dozen of Little Wing and the fries (on the recommendation from other Yelpers)

The second dozen was as good as the first. The french fries is only OK.

The waitstaff was very friendly and always come by to check and make sure we are happy with our food.

We also checked out what the other diners were having so we know what to try next time, (Mussels and Clam Chowder)

The decor is very minimal, but fit with the location.

This is a small place, so a group larger than 6 will be difficult...

Oysters were very fresh and clean with comfortable environment! Good place to talk with your bestie. Me and my friend went there yesterday and each of us ate approximately 20! We ordered white wine as well, perfect match! They also offered few sauces for your own table that you can choose. Price is reasonable and good service! I left my key on Sunday and unfortunately they closed on Monday. I was so frustrated the whole night. I tried to massaged them through google map which I won’t expect to receive prompt responses. However, The owner (I think he is the owner) replied my massaged the next day morning, and he was so nice and helpful, he went back to the restaurant to pass me the key on the day suppose to be closed. It was a great experience, so I bought two drinks for him and his wife as a gift for doing all this. Hahahahahha highly recommend that you to go there! Try the fresh and affordable...

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some fresh oysters. We arrived just as it opened. The staff was very happy to see us and made us feel comfortable. We had two dozen raw oysters and a couple plates of the fried oysters. For the raw we had a combination of the Cortes Island oysters that were on special, the Sunseekers, Effingham and Useless Inlet. All of them were fresh and delicious! I particularly liked the Sunseekers. They were so big I had to eat them in 3 bites. They were creamy almost. They had some fresh ground horseradish that we added to the cocktail sauce that was good. They also had a vodka sauce that had a bunch of peppers in it that was really tasty.

Coziest little oyster bar ever! I don't know if it seats more than a dozen people, but I am glad I was one of them last week. Top class fresh oysters, usually 6-7 varieties to choose from. The raw shucked are outstanding - the shucker is a master. We had 2 dozen raw and each was a work of shucking art - each oyster perfectly separated from its shell, undamaged in any way. And with the liquor intact. That is some skill. Hat's off! Oh, and the homemade chili-vodka condiment? Inspired! The fried oysters were big meaty west coasters, perfectly crispy, juicy. I want to go back with a bigger group, so we can try them all. Big thanks to the owners - such nice people
