Made a reso through info@prive for a milestone birthday- 3 weeks before the date. When we arrived, there was NO reso under my name. Whats worse is - I had confirmed the reservation over email with a response from Prive saying we were good to go!
After showing confirmation of our reservation over email. The manager on duty (we assumed) Katalena apologized for the inconvenience and offered us 2 Free hours of Karaoke, a free round of drinks for the party & a large party platter.
Having worked in the service industry for years, I really wanted to give these guys an opportunity to make it right because things happen. We felt the compensation was fair so we agreed and ask Katalena to send us an email confirming everything she offered.
As promised she did. But thats where it ends. After numerous emails trying to make another reservation to use the offer - Katalena kept saying everything was set in place and that Id be recieving an email to confirm the details - No email was recieved so I called to confirm the reservation.
Naturally, It didnt surprise me when the host explained we were listed for a reservation but it looks like the payment "bounced". I exolained the situation and told her it was a complementary offer but there was nothing noted. She then said a manager would call me back to confirm - they never did.
If you are looking for a place that accepts their fault and offers & honors a solution to make things right - Prive is not the place.
Apparently, having emails to back up their error was not enough to accept their own mistake.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't know what all the negative reviews are about, but we booked a 25-person karaoke room, and it was awesome! The room was large and clean, and the neon lights set the mood just right. They had a huge TV in the room, and all the songs we sang had music videos playing, so it was fun even for people who weren't actively singing. We had so much fun that we paid for an extra hour (an added $100), but it was so worth it. So if you're having fun and don't want to leave yet, it seems you can stick arounf. Our waiter was attentive and nice, and he split our bill up per person! So everyone paid for what they ordered, and there were no surprise charges on our bill. And after our session was over, we just spilled into the bar and kept the party going.
The only "complaint" I have is that the music selection is lacking. My group found multiple occasions where we wanted a popular karaoke song, but they didn't have it. That was a big disappointment for me. Also, the security is very strict and will pat you down and look into your bag to ensure you don't carry alcoholānot a great mood setter, but I understand the precaution. And the security deposit is crazy high, $1,000 for us. But then again, I can see someone getting drunk and breaking the TV, so I get why they need to take the precaution. I didn't get any food, so I can't comment on that. Overall, a crazy fun night. I would do it again.
(Few more notes, We booked online a week in advanced. We also arrive about 2-4min late. No one hassled us...

Edit: I can see that the owner has replied (two+ weeks later?), telling me to āget a lifeā, while misrepresenting what happened (we didnāt show up āA FEW HOURS LATERā for one thing, we came back 45 minutes after our call, which was a few minutes after the booked start time). We were told we had booked a room successfully over the phone, and showed up in good faith. At no point did the person on the phone who confirmed our time tell us we needed to book online. Also, we did not ādemandā a bottle, that did not happen. Anyway, I guess go to Prive if you want to get rude ALL CAPS messages from the manager šš¤·š»āāļø scrolling through the other reviews, itās clear that (a) other people have had very similar experiences and (b) management would rather cyber bully would-be customers than, you know, manage the...
