Rice 'N Spice — Restaurant in Vancouver

I don't know why people say here that the portions are big. If you are buying for take out they fill the container mainly with rice, then they just put enough toppings to give colour to the rice. Barley at all, they do it do carefully to make sure you only get half of a spoon of each of the toppings, and this is for the large order, can't imagine what how much little they must serve if it's a small order. For the price of the large order you get very little. The staff are impatient and rude, bad customer service. Not worth the money at this location. The location in Yaletown is way better. The staff at the Yaletown location are nice and they give you what you are paying for. This one in the Royal Centre mall food court are not...

EXTREMELY RUDE AND INTIMIDATING STAFF: AT YOUR OWN RISK

Extremely rude person who serves here at the . He tried to force me to have 3 combo though I wanted to have 1 or 2 dishes (obviously wanted to make a quick buck), when I pointed out he refused to serve us and started arguing with me and rudely asked me to go away. When I asked him to calm down and stop being rude, he THREATENED me and almost made a rush at me (potentially to harm me) . I was in a rush or would have called Vancouver PD as I felt threatened by his appalling behavior.

I don't know how the food tastes but am not willing to try to go there again even though I am in that area often.

Good "express" Indian food located in the food court of Royal Centre in downtown Vancouver. It's quite busy but service is fast. Wish they would change out of using styrofoam for everything - eating in and take-out containers. I recommend bringing your own container for them to fill. They are pretty good with that so with your help, we can reduce the amount of plastic we put into our landfills.
