Myself and my bf have been to place many times. But i think today was the last try.

Today we pre-ordered our food because we were starving. We got there and were having SoonDubu and Sulung-Tang and I found hair in my soup. So I called the waitress (the lady we've seen all the time when we visit the restaurant) quietly and told her that there is hair in my soup. She apologized and asked if I want to have another dish. I said I am ok (because i lost my appetite), she said she will removed the item from the bill and went to the kitchen.

Everything was fine until the owner(cook) of the restaurant came to our table with angry face. She came to our table, looked at me with angry face and said, "you were here not that long ago with your another girl friend and asked the exactly the same thing. I don't know why this thing happens every time you visit." There was no 'Hi', 'excuse me'....

First, I did not know what she was talking about because I always go to the restaurant ONLY with my bf. Never visited the place with my other friends and last time we went there was December 9th (I remember the date because we came back from Cancun on that day). I told her I never visited the restaurant with my girl friend and I've come here only with my bf. However, she kept saying it was a tall girl and she was sure it was me. Of course, myself and my bf explained that she got confused with someone else several times but she wouldn't listen. She recognizes my bf face and she was talking to him (looking at him) most of the times.

After telling her it wasn't me and asking why she thinks I'am the person (because I was tall? she works in the kitchen most of the time so we don't know how can she be SO SURE I am the person) she finally apologized to my bf and me (unwillingly - could see from her face expression and body gesture), kept telling him about the girl and told him she will take a pic of her next time. We were SO upset when we were getting out the restaurant and even the waitress kept saying "So sorry" to us couple of times. She just ruined our Saturday badly... we loved the food but NEVER...

I WILL UPDATE THIS IF CONTACTED BY MANAGEMENT

Before I start this review I would like to start off by saying I am a regular patron of this establishment sometimes going 5 times a week the food here is amazing and the service is very good as well. I’m writing this regarding an issue I had on New Year’s Eve.

I ordered a bunch of food ( hot pot. Yangyeom wings and boneless leg and thigh with five rices (I had 5 people at my house 2 being my wife and I) when I got home from the restaurant I only had 3 rice. I had no where else to go since it being new years everything was closed I couldn’t go buy any rice to make more. I called them and they told me they would give it to me for free next time (here is where the confusion began) I took that as the next meal I eat at that restaurant they would take care of it. I went today and ordered a single dakgalbi with yangyeom wings and ate the food. After eating I thanked one of the men working for making it right and walked out of the restaurant. I was Ran after by one of the female employees and she explained that only the rice would be free. When she walked me back in I felt like a thief everyone was looking at us like we had ran out of the restaurant without paying. I felt so disrespected i told them this and explained that I was inconvenienced heavily on New Year’s Eve and you guys should make it right. I’m writing this to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt because as a businessman myself I understand employees maybe can’t make a decision like this. I’m writing this because I would love to keep visiting this establishment but if I don’t have this situation resolved I will never come back. If the owners read this maybe they can resolve my issue. Having said all this I wish the management and all the staff working merry Christmas and a happy new years. I hope we can come to a conclusion because I really enjoy...

Disappointing Service Despite Being Loyal Customers

My family and I have been loyal customers of this Korean restaurant for a long time, but tonight’s experience left us extremely disappointed and upset, particularly due to the attitude and service of one specific female waitress.

We ordered a large meal, including two tofu hotpots, potato noodles, drinks, and fried chicken. The fried chicken, priced at $28, was incredibly bland—whether eaten with or without the skin. When we raised the issue with the female waitress, she showed no concern, didn’t apologize, and simply asked if we wanted sauce. There was no acknowledgment of our complaint or any effort to address the problem with the kitchen.

To our shock, when we got the bill, we found we were charged $5 for the sauce we ordered only because the chicken was too plain to eat. This felt unfair and frustrating, as the sauce should have been offered as a courtesy to make up for the poor quality of the dish.

When my wife shared her concerns with a male waiter, he was polite, apologized sincerely, and even offered us two free drinks to compensate since he couldn’t remove the charge himself. However, the female waitress—who was standing right next to him—remained silent, failed to acknowledge her poor handling of the situation, and never once apologized for the issue.

As long-time customers, we expected better treatment. The female waitress’s dismissive attitude and lack of accountability made the entire experience feel disrespectful and unprofessional. We left feeling sad and upset by how the situation was handled.

To the management: please train your staff better, especially when it comes to customer complaints. A simple acknowledgment and apology would have gone a long way. Sadly, after tonight’s experience, we may need to reconsider dining here...

Frequented the old Korean establishment and decided to come here to see what had changed as new owners have taken over. The restaurant was completely transformed The old restaurant was bright, home-y. and simple. Whereas now it is very modern, warm and comfortable. The restaurants seems a lot more open concept now which is nice and does not feel cramped. I ordered the Seafood Tofu Soup ($13.95) and the Beef Bulgogi ($15.95). The tofu soup was good but I felt lacked a bit of flavor. It just tasted a bit dull and watered down. There was a generous portion of assorted seafood like squid and small shrimp. The beef bulgogi portion was generous as it included quite a bit of cabbage and beef was generous. . There was good flavor and was not too oily and layered with sauce. Side dishes that were included were the pickled onion, potato, kimchi, and bean sprouts. They were all pretty tasty and fit my pallet. The pickled onion to my surprised was sweet instead of sour and tangy but still liked it. Potato was nicely soaked and flavorful, however some pieces were harder and less flavorful than others. The service here is pretty good as well. The servers were very nice, came to our table a few times to check up on us and even offered to refill some of the side dishes. Prices here are quite competitive and similar to other Korean restaurants but I felt that some things were a little too expensive. Wanted to try their Seafood pancake but it was ($20.98) and a bit much for just two people so I guess it will have to wait until I am with a larger group. Overall, this place is good and I would come back if I am in the area but won't necessarily go out of my way to come here.

after seeing that they had a lunch meal set for only 20$, my big back decided to come here cuz who would say no to this deal??? while there are ten dishes served, only 2 of the dishes were good... well well well.... lets start off with their good dishes: the soup!! its flavourful and almost full bodied, and rly goes well with the noodles. however its beef tasted like it had 0% body fat cuz its texture was like a washcloth 3.5/5 next off is the beansprouts, which tasted like beansprouts with sesame oil. wow. no way. 3/5 then came the fishcakes which tasted like fishcakes with sugar. who wouldve thought. wow. 2.5/5 next is the fried chicken, which has some marinate in it so it had SOME flavour but NOT enough. its also chewy instead of being crispy.... 2/5 then came the chewy dumpling filled with some decent filling with some flavour 2.5/5 and ofc they gave us ttebokki which tasted like gochujang, kimchi, and sugar and MORE sugar making it almost inedible without rice 0/5 next off is the japchae which tasted like bland noodles with no flav and it was sticky??? it ended up tasting fine when i shoved it into tje soup 1.5/5 lastly the buglogi tasted like sugar with a side of dry meat. its not edible even with rice. i bet that anyone eating this can suddenly have their insulin receptors become defective cuz of the amount of sugar they put into it... 0/5 overall 2.5/5

What a disgrace to call this Korean food. I will get straight to the point, as there are many reasons why this place is horrendous and not worth describing. So when we walked into the establishment, there was a lot of seating, and it felt kind of comfortable. The waitresses and waiters were kind and supplied with our needs. But im not here only for the staff nor the environment, but the food. The first thing that showed up were the side dishes such as kimchi, radishes, and potatoes, which are normally served to you in a korean restaurant. But when the corn came it, I was looking at it in disbelief. The hot plate wasn't hot, and if you look at the picture, it has a bunch of liquid from what I can assume came with the can. The dumplings, bibimbop, and the japchae tasted ordinary and didn't impress me at all. But the one thing that stood out to me the most was the black bean noodles. Overcooked cold noodles with a heartattack amount of sauce ended up getting me sick for the night. In conclusion, the only reason why this place gets a 2 star rating is because of their decent environment, decent staff. Unfortunately, nothing can outweigh how terrible the food is. You can definitely find better places to eat Korean food in Metro Vancouver. Don't bring anyone here, yourself included
