Do not order anything from here unless you’re willing to wait a minimum of 20 minutes for one iced coffee.

I ordered an egg coffee - there wasn’t anyone else in line before me, and there were around 4 groups seated in the cafe, less than 10 people total. 2 staff were making drinks and taking orders, another staff was split between working in the back kitchen and working in the front.

In the 25 minutes I waited for my one singular drink, they produced 2 bubble tea, 1 plain iced coffee, 1 iced coffee with a topping, 1 banh mi, and 1 order of chicken wings. The customer who ordered the plain iced coffee checked in multiple times over a span of 10-15 mins asking where their coffee was and was always told “it’s almost ready”. Another seated party said they had been waiting for over 35 minutes for a banh mi and iced coffee (they were there before I came in, and still waiting when I left).

From what I could see, they have large pitchers of prepared iced Vietnamese coffee - so I’m not sure why it took so incredibly long for everyone’s iced drinks? I’ve gone to places where they start a phin drip when you order an iced Vietnamese coffee. Even in those situations, they take MAX 5 mins and the staff always let me know it’ll be a little hit of a wait. If their coffee is already prepped, why are they so slow? Also the food items they make are more snack-like than full entrees - how do you justify taking over 35 minutes to make a single banh mi?

The pricing and taste of the egg coffee I got was fine. Solidly in the middle for taste, not the best or worst I’ve had. Wish the coffee was richer and that the whipped egg was richer and creamier. But with the insane wait times, I will not be...

Finally made it here to meet some friends after I had been meaning to try for a while. The shop isn't very big but they have a fair amount of seating including a few larger tables. Nothing fancy but I felt like care was put into the design of the space and making i feel authentic. The staff were nice. I wasn't keeping track of time, but while it felt like the food took a while, considering there were a few others in front of us, I didn't feel like we were waiting forever either. The drinks came out a little before the food. I got a vegan lemongrass "chicken" banh mi and a cacao egg foam drink. The vegan chicken was very tasty and juicy but not too saucy, and the bread was perfect - it was a little crispy but not so much that it crumbled when I bit into it. I got it with jalapeños; some bites were spicy with a piece of jalapeño, but I don't think the sauce itself is spicy even though this item was labelled as spicy. Instead of the usual mayo, they use vegan butter on their banh mi. At first I wasn’t sure about this, but I think I actually prefer it over the mayo because they only used a little butter, and so it was less messy than the excess of mayo that is often used. The cacao drink was an awesome coffee-free alternative to the egg foam latte. I liked that it had a smooth chocolate flavour without being overly sweet. The egg cream didn't taste very eggy but added some depth and richness to the drink. The two friends I was eating with also enjoyed their banh mi and drinks. Both said the coffee was strong. The banh mis are pretty large and great value for the...

It is highly rated so I came here to buy takeout tonight. I saw four customers were seated. Some ordered food and some ordered beverages only. A fifth one was standing at the counter and waited for a server to serve. The counter was without staff for a long period of time. I almost wanted to leave but finally I saw a staff came out from the backend or door.

I went up and ordered four items. They were lemongrass chicken banh mi, fried chicken wings (which was their special on the menu), shrimp veggie salad rolls (2 in an order) and pork chop with vermicelli. The staff said the order would take 10 mins. In the end I waited for more than 20 mins.

All of their dishes tasted good in general. The fried chicken wings with garlic flavour were the greatest. The pork chop did not look great in terms of presentation but it tasted good with the right marination. The shrimp veggie salad rolls tasted good but the peanut sauce was a bit strange to me (but some people might find it fine), and the lemongrass chicken banh mi tasted fresh and delicious.

The customer service was good other than the long wait for the food and long wait for a staff to serve at the beginning. Hopefully, the service will become much better later.

I parked in the residential area and walked to the restaurant. Commercial Drive is always busy with cars and people, so I would rather park a bit further...

Been meaning to check this place out for a while! Saw their drinks all over IG and they looked so good. Ducked inside on a super rainy morning. It was so warm and cozy. Very thankful that they had some dairy-free options (sub oat milk for $0.80) available, and went with the iced strawberry matcha. Have tried these at a few places around Vancouver, and this one is super good. Not too sweet, fruit tastes fresh, the matcha is excellent quality, bright green, light and grassy flavour, and super fluffy. They put a little care into whisking it up properly, so have patience for quality work. I super love Viet coffee-based drinks, but unfortunately wasn’t able to have any of them because of the sweetened condensed milk. I understand, because the vegan versions are $$$ for smaller cans in stores. It’s great that there are other things one can choose from here. The lemongrass chicken bánh mì was great! The baguette was light, with soft interior crumb and crispy exterior. Was eating with another chef/baker friend and we were happy. They even cut the sandwiches in half, and had vegan butter for people like me. So thoughtful. And only $7.95! Definitely coming back again.
