The Metropole Community Pub — Restaurant in Vancouver

Metropole is Vancouver's best Dive Bar.... My friend, Don Magnifico hosts karaoke there every Wednesday and there is other music events throughout the week...... If your looking for a place with cheap, No Frill drinks and is open until 3:00 am every night... this is the place for you.... Fair warning... it is a Dive Bar.. it is a bit seedy/Sketchy....they serve people from all over the city...and all walks of life....every night is different... they have arcade Games and Pool table... If your looking for high end, fancy Vegas style club with beutiful Cocktails...this is not your place.. i ordered a cocktail there but the bar tender gave me a strange look and said they don't make Cocktails... The wash room needs some TLC.... the stall has no door and everyone comes in there.. Male and Female... There is graffiti every where... sinks frequently broken...please be aware of your surroundings when leaving as the pub is located in a rougher...

These apartments are considered micro suites to the modern day renter but the prices being asked for these micro suites are anything but micro let me tell you! $1475-1650 is the normal expected rental price for these 200-250 sq.ft.sized apartments being offered here in this old heritage building. There is a community bar called the Met downstairs which is usually a neighbourhood goodie as well as a trendy location to grab a fairly affordable bite to eat during a busy work week or a timed lunch break! I give the location a 4 out of 5 and the food a close 3.85 behind. Came here for a birthday night for a friend with a big group. We called ahead and reserved half the restaurant for our group for 25 or so, which they were very accomodating on. The place itself is quite small and we came on a Saturday night and they only had one waitress, which seemed way too little for our group and the other tables. She was meh overall, really pushy on alcohol too. Everything is pretty cheap but it also reflects on the quality, which is just alright. Not much character to this place and nowhere near as nice as the other bars in Gastown, just...
