Terrible and disappointing service for my birthday party. Reasons why:

I booked 3 hours for my birthday party, fitting it with a high popular soccer game, I advised them 1 month in advance about this(El Clásico, Barcelona VS Real Madrid). Despite I went in advance to set up the soccer game in the tv with my own laptop because they couldn’t guarantee me this, I ended up having a bad experience. For every score celebration, the server came to warning us to keep the cheering up low and quiet . The second time, she told us that it was the last warning, otherwise she would turn off the tv. We told her that being in a sport bar that would be completely normal. Her answer was “this is a sport bar, but only for golf”. I think that her name was China. I think that this is so ridiculous, unfair and discriminatory , there were other sports being broadcasted in other tvs( hockey, NFL,etc) My girlfriend asked them during that same time to keep the birthday cake in the kitchen for 20 minutes as a birthday surprise for later on. Without any advise or notice, they charge her at the end $25 plus 20% of gratuity, for …. What it said in the bill:“cutting cake service”. What??! I even cut the cake and ask them for some plates and forks !! Just another easy and free way to get your money without any work! The service was veeeery slow and rude. I had to ask many times to the server to order some beers. We felt ignored. My feeling was that because the 20% gratuity would be included (I understand this being a group) regardless, they already didn’t care that much about the customer service. So frustrating and disappointing.

Sorry, but I wouldn’t recommend this place for birthdays or any other event. There are a tons of better places out there to make your...

We were really excited to attend this restaurant for the first time. We had seen pictures online and were looking forward to the golfing, especially since we were starving. We booked a table for 7 PM, hoping to enjoy a fun experience at the virtual simulator and dinner with our family. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be anything but enjoyable.

Please do not waste your time here because you will get publicly embarrassed if one of your family members doesn't tip. It was the most unpleasant experience at this poorly managed restaurant. I am honestly starstruck by how the whole management team dealt with the situation as well—it was so disgusting. The waiter blindly embarrassed me for not tipping without considering my point of view, even though I thought a 6-person party was charged gratuity automatically, and my brother had tipped for us anyway. When we called asking for the manager, there was no manager on-site at night, and we were told to use the email. However, from the reviews of this restaurant, I’ve read that they do not respond to emails, so I’m assuming the email was suggested on purpose.

After talking to the management team, I can assure you that whether you email them or call them, you will not find any help. We were basically told that this was a normal interaction and there was nothing wrong, and they did not accept our concerns. It’s mind-boggling how the manager did not want to hear anything and found no fault in Katie’s actions. Please stay away from...

After years of experience of Vancouver bars and nightclubs, I can confidently say that One Under is the most enjoyable time I have ever had in Vancouver. From the incredible service, to the insurmountable amounts of fun endured in the golf simulators; regardless of golf skill, I can confidently say that one under is my favourite place to be on a weekend. The establishment is run professionally and everyone here is in high spirits. I highly recommend coming to one under on any free night/day of your week. Hope you have as much fun as my friends and I do. Enjoy! (Edited a year or two later): shout-out Blake, we came from tsawwassen and he found us a spot within twenty minutes. If you’re looking for a good time in Vancouver and you enjoy golf or activities with friends this...

My son and I tried One Under on a trip into Vancouver one night. We didn't eat much other than peanuts and cheese bread but both were good. The other food going past us looked good. We had never done a golf simulator before, we found the set up was great for our skill level and fun on a rainy night. The staff was very welcoming and attentive to our questions. My son is 12 and he enjoyed it. They don't promote it as a child friendly environment due to some issues they had in the past with groups of kids. Also it's a bar / Pub so if that type of environment isn't suitable for your kids this isn't the place for you. Overall yes I would return

Hidden gem that's not too busy even on a Friday night, but they fill up later on, mainly for virtual golf. Had the Baked Brie (pic), the Margherita pizza and pulled pork sliders. Brie was done well with a spicy jam and pistachio accompaniment which went well with the sliced baguette. The sliders were a bit dry, maybe needed some cheese or something, but the buns and pork were soft and tender. The Margherita pizza was as expected for a meatless pizza. Also had the Victorian Negroni (pic), which was a drier version of a classic negroni made with the purple Empress gin. Overall good place for after work drinks.

Two hours for $100 is a steal and great rainy day activity and|or for a party! You get a huge booth, a ton of room, table service and a great atmosphere. The golf simulator is dope! I highly recommend the window smashing or driving range elimination which are great team games. The beers here are also pretty good value in comparison to most places in ghe city. Staff are also super friendly and very helpful. Support local business!
