I recently dined at Brars restaurant, and the experience was truly delightful. The extensive menu offered a variety of dishes, and I had the pleasure of trying several. Here's my food review:
Veg Manchurian: The Veg Manchurian was a delightful start to the meal. The crispy vegetable balls were perfectly balanced in flavor and had a delectable tangy sauce. It was a great choice for an appetizer.
Masala Dosa: The masala dosa was a standout dish. The thin, crispy dosa was generously stuffed with a flavorful potato masala. It was served with coconut chutney and sambar, adding the right amount of spice and taste.
Malai Kofta: The Malai Kofta was a creamy and indulgent dish. The kofta balls were soft, and the rich tomato-based gravy was simply heavenly. It paired exceptionally well with the naan. The naan was freshly baked and had that perfect tandoor-charred flavor. It was a great accompaniment to soak up the delicious gravies.
Gajar Halwa: For dessert, I had the Gajar Halwa, and it was a sweet revelation. The carrot-based dessert was rich, sweet, and garnished with chopped nuts, making it a delightful way to end the meal
Lemon Mojito and Orange Mojito: I tried both the lemon and orange mojitos. They were refreshing and had a zesty, citrusy kick that complemented the meal wonderfully.
Overall, Brars restaurant impressed me with its flavorful and diverse vegetarian offerings. The dishes were prepared with care, and the service was attentive. I would highly recommend trying the Masala Dosa and Gajar Halwa when you visit. It's a restaurant that delivers a satisfying...
Read moreI had placed a large catering order (50+ people) for a corporate event the day after Diwal and this was delivered more than 1 hour after the promised time. They charged a $100 delivery fee (steep, but we agreed since it was an important event) to deliver to downtown TO but assigned us the most clueless driver who took over 1 hour 25 min to travel from Vaughn to DT at noon (when Google Maps clearly showed a 40 min commute). He also failed to navigate to my address on his own, did not seem to understand my directions (I clearly mentioned he needs to turn onto a side street where my office is located and exactly as per the address given to him, but he instead parked in front of a Bikeshare stand on a busy intersection and promptly got ticketed). I had to walk to where he was and carry the large order on foot.
I spoke to Siddhant from Brar's team who offered us a token $15-20 discount on a $350 order to compensate us for the time and effort wasted (it was a timed event!) and just said the driver is not our regular guy, too bad he didn't know what he was doing. This was an important event - I would've arranged to pick up the order if I knew how unprofessional the operations of this place are. I'm extremely shocked at the casual attitude of the management. Regardless to say they've lost my company's business.
The food itself is good, but what use was that when more than half the attendees had to leave by the...

The moment you step in, the aroma of freshly prepared spices and the vibrant display of traditional Indian sweets instantly transports you to the heart of Punjab. This newer location, a sister branch to their original outlet on Bovaird Drive in Brampton, maintains the same high standards of taste and hospitality. The samosas and vegetable pakoras are standout items—crispy, well-seasoned, and served piping hot. Their variety of sweets, ranging from classic gulab jamuns to delicately prepared barfis, showcases the kitchen’s deep-rooted culinary expertise. Parking is ample, making visits stress-free, and the management deserves a special mention for their warm and welcoming demeanor. Their catering services are equally impressive—I’ve used them on multiple occasions for private events, and each time they’ve delivered generously portioned, reasonably priced, and flavorful dishes that earned praise from every guest. In a city with no shortage of dining options, this fully vegetarian establishment continues to distinguish itself through consistency, authenticity, and heartwarming service. A must-visit for anyone craving real Punjabi/Indian...
