Horrible experience, will never come again! 1.I made reservation for 2, upon arrival, the waiter had no idea of my reservation The type of fish provided in our Sashimi Plate ($98/30smt piece) was not matching what was described in menu The menu presented to us was not matching what the restaurant posted on their windows and wall ($90 for the same set) The service was horrible, no soup, salad nor beer brought over before the main sashimi plate was brought to table. When I questioned if soup and salad were included, the waiter himself was shocked that we were not served with soup, salad nor drink?! 5!!!! After we FINISHED our meal, suddenly the waiter brought over 2 plates of 3-piece-sushi, claiming their kitchen made wrong order, and they brought over asking for extra $20 each plate… AM I INSANE?! A 3-piece-sushi for $20?! After declined politely as we were already full, the waiter asked how about $30 extra for both plates?! …. SERIOUSLY?! This is the first time I ever been pushed to buy something that I did not order, not to mention with such outrageous price! When he first brought over, I thought that was complimentary for the lack of service of the evening, but after he asked for extra money, I couldn’t be more wrong, and couldn’t be more angry/upset! A can of Sapporo cost $12 each?! I didn’t argue because at time of ordering, we didn’t see it on menu, nor asked the price ahead of time, that’s our fault, and a lesson learned on my behalf… but this price is so overly charged! The final bill was wrong as well, there was an item of “$5 house salad” that we did not order but showed on our bill (lucky we didn’t order much, only 1 large sashimi plate and 2 beers, which makes it really easy to spot that 3rd- did not ordered item…..) When questioning isn’t soup and salad complimentary? the waiter then claiming he did not enter that bill, and doesn’t know who made that mistake, but we can deduct $5 from the final amount ourselves (instead of providing a new bill), this makes me questioning the integrity of this restaurant (if they actual report their sales/tax properly).
I regret now that I didn’t ask the manager of the restaurant to explain what has happened that evening, as it totally ruined my DATE! And if you still choose to go to that place, I HIGH recommend you to double check your bill!!!
p.s. Now thinking about it, the table besides us finished earlier seems to have issue with their bill as well. This place has a LOT of seniors visiting, I was there randomly as I mixed their name with another restaurant. If this is how you treat and trick seniors, then...
Read moreSo, our one and only visit to this establishment, and trust me, it's going to stay that way. With over a thousand glowing Google reviews averaging a sparkling 4.4, we waltzed into this place with our expectations sky-high. Little did we know, we were about to enter the twilight zone of restaurant nightmares.
To kick things off, our friendly waiter decided to play a guessing game – no menu choice for us; he handed us the regular menu and vanished into thin air. We scratched our heads, thinking this place was all-you-can-eat. After a bewildering 10-minute wait with no server in sight, we had to chase down our waiter and ask for the AYCE menu. Lo and behold, he miraculously remembered that they offered more than just the basics.
We finally placed our order, thinking it was all smooth sailing from there. But guess what? After a whopping 45-minute wait, we were treated to the culinary masterpiece of a seaweed salad and miso soup. Yes, you heard that right – after 45 minutes, just those two items. And this was supposed to be an all-you-can-eat experience. Apparently, their strategy is to starve their customers into submission so they'll order less.
The cherry on top was our server's unhelpful responses: "not my fault," "out of my control," "different department," and "we're busy." Oh, how comforting. We had waited so long, and the AYCE price was $49 per person, so naturally, we assumed the food would be divine. But boy, were we mistaken. The sashimi was thicker than a novel, the rice was as hard and unappealing as a rock, the chicken wings had an uncanny chemical aftertaste, the beef tasted like it was made in a factory, and the fried rice? Surprise, surprise, it had no salt and a generous sprinkling of eggshells. Not to mention, about 30% of our order was MIA, but we were too drained to bother. Our day was ruined by this illustrious 4.4-rated establishment.
But here's the grand finale – we stumbled upon a QR code on the table that boldly promised free dishes in exchange for a 5-star review. Ah, the secret to their abundant positive reviews finally unveiled! This place is nothing but a scam. Our advice? Run, don't walk, and save yourself from spending over $50 per person for the privilege of waiting almost an hour for half...
Read moreWe have now visited Ginza on several occasions. I, therefore, have the benefit of multiple meals to compare. Their price, $28.95 on weekends, is not a bargain so weigh carefully as to how much you're going to eat. Keeping in mind that if one person chooses "all you can eat" the whole table must do so. On the other hand, if you have a growing teenager whose adopted middle name is hangry then "all you can eat" makes perfect economical sense. Like any other establishment, there are strong and weak points to their menu. Japanese staples like Miso and Seaweed salad are solid. Whereas more exotic items like; Saba (Mackerel) and butterfish aren't consistently fresh. Other strengths include their torched Salmon and Snapper. The slight heating on the edge of each piece of Sashimi adds a hint of BBQ flavour while still maintaining Sushi's expected texture. Unlike some other "all you can eat" Sushi restaurants, service here is warm and attentive. With both our water glasses and tea mugs replenished regularly. As well as accommodating our request to have only sweet potato in our tempura order. Like other establishments, Ginza's"all you can eat" menu warns of a $1 charge for any leftover food. So order accordingly or in stages to prevent that from happening. You and your guests will be presented with the A la Carte Menu upon your arrival. As not all items in the a la carte menu are available if you choose the "all you can eat " option ask for the latter menu. Compare and decide which option you are going ahead with. Then enjoy a competently prepared meal in a...
