I was so excited to learn that there was a second location that was close and convenient for us. We’ve been to the Markham location many times, and they’ve been very consistent so our expectations were high! I never write these types of review, but the service we received today really bothered me. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here. Would rather make the drive to their original location in Markham! If you thought the food was good here, you’ll be even more impressed with their original location.
Service: Compared to the original location, I was very disappointed with the service we received today. When we initially walked in we were greeted and seated by this young lady, however the other two ladies had some attitude issues. When she served us our food, felt like it was a chore for her and that we were a nuisance. Like the previous reviewer, no “enjoy your meal”, just very cold. Once we were done, my partner went to the counter and notified her that we wanted to pay. Again, just the vibe and attitude when we asked seems like she couldn’t be bothered, no “thank you, have a nice day”. I know it seems like such a small thing, but just being courteous and having good manners are important. This whole interaction with these two young ladies really affected us, no matter how good the food is, just extremely disappointed. Really hope they can improve.
In terms of the food, it was okay. We got the combos along with their signature mandu. Personally, found the food to be pretty bland. The rice dish with the bulgolgi was delicious and probably one of the things I recommend getting. The Kalguksu was very bland and...
Read moreThe Korean noodles and mandu (king size dumplings) at Jin Myungdong Korean Noodles (Steeles location) were good.
The Mandu (King Size Korean Dumplings) was good. Would recommend to eat the Korean dumplings with the kimchi :)
The Meat (Pork) Kalguksu was good. The soup was filled with umami. The noodles were perfectly cooked with good chewiness and texture. The sliced steam cooked pork was tender and delicious.
The Bulgogi & Kalguksu Combo Set was good. The soup was delicious and loved the black pepper kick to this soup. The noodles had that good chewy texture. The bulgogi was flavourful but a bit overcooked making it a bit tough.
The Kimchi was fresh, spicy and delicious. The other Korean side dishes were also good.
Overall, the food was good but the service was odd. It was strange to get the Bulgogi and Korean side dishes first then get the Kalguksu later in the Bulgogi & Kalguksu Combo Set. It would have made more sense to bring out everything all at once in...
Read moreI visited this amazing Korean restaurant and had an amazing experience with my friends today. The Kalguksu, a hearty noodle soup, was absolutely delicious and the broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly chewy! The Seafood Green Onion Pancake was another standout dish. It was crispy on the outside and packed with fresh seafood and savory green onions.
The Bossam, with its tender slices of pork wrapped in crisp lettuce leaves, was perfectly balanced with the right amount of spice and pickled sides. The dumplings were equally impressive – filled with juicy, flavorful fillings that complemented the delicate dough.
The restaurant itself was very neat, and the location was convenient, making it a great spot for both locals and visitors. The service was kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.
Overall, the food was awesome, and I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic...
