The second I walked into the store, I was greeted by an ambience that promised stellar service; the interior is sleek, fitted with small tables and chairs for customers who wish to dine in. I personally took my order as takeout, but was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon one of the only restaurants in this plaza that has clean eating surfaces. A lot of the other franchises here are only enjoyable on a go-in go-out basis because of the noise, indifference on the employees' end to building rapport with customers, and nauseatingly unclean surfaces. Inside this restaurant, I felt like I could actually settle down and enjoy a meal without the urge to rub disinfectant across over my table.
On the subject of customer service, a single employee was appointed to front-of-house and food preparation duties, and she handled both extremely well. She wore an infectious smile, explained the options available and made my first shopping experience at this place positively memorable. I was delighted to return home and taste that the acai sorbet bowl lived up to sparkling impression that was made in the store. The toppings are fresh and mix together well with the base. I ordered right after opening (11AM), but have a feeling that I'll be full for lunch and dinner because the ingredients are that filling. Definitely worth the $16.90 price, also thank you for being one of the few restaurants in this area that don't force a "tip" prompt at the register (although your level of service would warrant it more...
Read moreVery weird experience. I sent my husband to get me an avocado Tomato toast on pumpernickel. The menu clearly states that the toast comes with spicy, mayo, sesame, seeds, salt, pepper, and diced tomato. The girl gave my husband simply a white toast with avocado and diced tomato, and when he brought it to me, I noticed everything was missing so he went back in and told her and she said “ That’s how we serve it here”. My husband told her, but that’s Not what it states on the menu, it’s missing all these things that the menu says, and she said to him again, but that’s how we serve it at this location. He asked her to make it the way we ordered it, including the pumpernickel bread, and then she said that they were out of pumpernickel bread, mind you we had already paid at this point. She then took the toast back and put globs of Sriracha mayo on it As you can see in the picture. Who wants to bite into a toast and have a big spoonful of spicy mayo in their mouth? Anyways, it was disgusting and I’m never ordering from...
Read moreHad a good experience overall with absolutely freshly made juices and delicious acai bowls during a recent visit with some friends. The most standout aspect of this place is all juices are made from real fruit and are not made from any pre-packaged concentrates or mixes. I sampled juices from my friends and found them to be pleasantly refreshing, balanced and not overly sweet. I believe they don't add sugar to the juices so it's got that all natural taste but yet still sweet to give that perk up and satisfaction of drinking a juice! Now for my favorite part of the visit, the Acai bowl!
The Acai bowl was the best I've had so far and I was made to understand that this is the only spot in the GTA that actually uses a very clean and unsweetened version of Acai sorbet. You can taste the difference in quality grade and flavor from this Acai; I can't wait to go back for some more!
Check them out when you are in the area for sure.
