I come to this location quite a lot but I don't think I'll be going back anymore. Last night I went and they literally tried scamming me. I ordered 2 wraps (1 with 1 extra topping, 1 with 2 extra toppings) and 2 orders of potatoes. The bill came out to $26 after tax which I knew wasn't right because I come to Pita Land a lot and can ballpark what my food will cost me. I asked the girl why it was so much and she said it's because I got the extra toppings. There was a big line behind me so I didn't want to fight it and paid my food and started to eat.
While eating I noticed there was a sign which read 2 can dine for $22 plus tax, which gave you 2 wraps with 2 extra toppings, 2 potatoes, 2 cans of pop, and 2 soups. So that's when I knew I got overcharged because I paid more and got less than the 2 can dine.
I got up to speak to the girl who cashed me out and I told her she overcharged me and I explained my case, that she charged me for the 2 can dine which I didn't want. All she did was say, "you didn't tell me 2 can dine, you didn't tell me 2 can dine." Well, I didn't tell you 2 can dine because I didn't want it. So why was I charged 2 can dine which I didn't order, and on top of it, why wasn't I given the soups and the drinks which came in the 2 can dine? I told them I wanted the difference back on my card and they didn't understand what I was saying so they just gave me 2 drinks and 2 soups. Read moreI have been a loyal customer over the years and I am very disappointed in the quality of the food. There were a good number of customers at the store, so I assume they wanted to save on the amount of food they give you. I ordered chicken shawarma and it was about half of the amount I usually got from here. There were only bits of chickens and they gave me 5 small pieces of black olives when I paid extra for it. I would not come here again.
First Edit: Response to the owner: You are seriously calling me that I am publicily lying about this and you sure about not charging 0.29 for black olives? Take a look at the attached screenshot. Is your website lying or my receipt is lying this time? It is bad for your business to publicly lie and make a false accusation. Read moreI have now been extremely ill for 2 weeks. I've been going here almost weekly since it opened. This place used to be legendary in Maple, but things have changed ever since they expanded. The managers (who are great and always take care of you) are always bouncing between locations now and the original staff of older ladies that took care of the place are mostly gone, so the quality is very hit or miss. I'm not sure if it's the way they store the chicken, or something about leaving the sauce out on the counter, but pita land almost always makes me sick now. I was even served chicken that was a little pink still once, and I always ask them to cook it well done. I wanted to believe it was something else because I've always been able to trust the food here but after multiple incidents I can't trust them anymore.
