Today has been the worst experience a at a takeout place. This location has the worst customer service by far!! We called in to place an order for pick up- one large steak sandwich, double meat only mayo and cheese. The girl on the phone was not able to comprehend that. Had to repeat the same thing three times as if she wasn’t even paying attention. Once the the sandwich was picked up and taken home, it was opened and turns out it’s filled with other ingredients (onions, green peppers etc.). Called to let them know the order was incorrect and the guy who made the order denied the whole thing and just simply said that he was the one who personally made it and that it was impossible- calling me a liar. I told him I would bring it in and show him and he said no it’s fine. So I took a picture and went there again. When I went in the guy who made the sandwich had lots of attitude and handed me the sandwich. I opened it in the car and again the order was wrong. This time it was a small sandwich and no double meat. Went back in to let him know that it’s a large that was originally ordered and paid $22 for the sandwich and not a small and he had even more attitude and started talking bad about me to his coworkers. Then proceeded to make the sandwich one more time. Went back to the car and opened it and again it wasn’t what I asked for. AGAIN!! Went back in and asked for a refund and he said he would only give me cash and that I wasted $60 of his meat-shouting at me. He then threw the money at me and was yelling and making a scene. So I left and went home without appetite from this whole situation. I will never go back there after this after being a loyal customer since they opened. Not to mention they also do not follow safety Covid measures as both employees were wearing their masks under their nose. I do not recommend this location to anyone and especially be humiliated the way that I was. Mistakes happen and I understand but when there’s attitude and I’m being called a liar and have money thrown at me that is just not acceptable and will...

This was the worst experience at a firehouse subs location we have ever had. We normally visit the location by Yorkdale mall but because we were up in Vaughan, we decided to visit this one. First of all, we walk in and one male associate was in the corner by the door talking to a male patron. They were both not wearing any masks nor social distancing. We then proceed to order our food and were very specific with requests and allergies. As we are waiting for our food to be ready, a food delivery service driver arrived to pick up an order. The same male associate proceeded to speak rudely to this driver because the driver did not have a food bag to carry the order out. This male associate told the driver to forget it and get out of the store out loud and all patrons in the establishment were able to hear this comment. We are still at the counter waiting for our food and the same male associate was preparing our food with no mask on. At this point, we asked him to put his mask on and he responded “well it keeps falling off”. We were both stunned at this response. During this global pandemic, there really is no excuse/exception with food safety measures to be taken. We receive our food and leave the establishment, we take a look at our food to make sure all is well and what we saw when we opened the containers was not what we were expecting. Our sandwiches were sub par to say the least. Soggy bread, lack of meat, excess on the less expensive ingredients etc. At other firehouse subs locations the meat is weighed and everything is done exceptionally, customer service is top notch as well. I don’t know what happens at this location but consistency between locations is not there. On top of that, our pickles were not with our order and we had to go back to get them.

Hopefully this is a one time experience and is not a regular situation. Needless to say, we will not be visiting this...

My friend started raving to me about this place last year, but I was skeptical, thinking "how great can a sub possibly be?"- plus, chains often disappoint. I finally caved a couple weeks ago, and have been back at least four times since, because they really do make the very best subs I've ever had here (and I've had my fair share of sub sandwiches). The bread is always fresh, but more importantly, quite light and easy to digest- super fluffy. The meats they use are all of very high quality and extremely flavourful. And ditto all the toppings- they're all fresh and feature very vibrant flavours. Their bbq sauce is tremendous. Normally the meats and toppings at sub places are lacklustre, but here they really pack a punch. Of the sandwiches I've tried so far, the smokehouse is my favourite- you really taste the smoke on the smoked meat that goes inside. Mouth-watering stuff. The cheddar broccoli soup and cookies are also great. And the cherry on top? The friendly staff that keep the place afloat. Can't wait to go back again and try out a new sandwich- I'm sure they can do no wrong here. I think the medium size would be enough for most, but I always get the large and have no issues crushing it- it's just too tasty not to finish, every bite makes you want more....

Great subs! Been to Firehouse subs in the U. S. UPDATE: It's been 2 years or so since my last in store visit to this location and it definitely is not owned by the same kind and caring owner that previously owned it. The staff can barely speak English and they sound like a bunch of robots when you walk in the store. The subs are good, but not great like they use to be. It's ashame because it use to be a top notch sub shop and the owner was always out talking to customers and seeing if your sub was satisfactory. Now it's a pump the customers out as fast as possible deal. I'll come back because there are no other locations nearby. Changed my star rating to 3 out of 5 because the staff is so robotic and not very outgoing with customers like it once was.

First time at fire house, Pretty good subs and staff was very friendly. Had to wait a little bit for the sub. Was surprised they brought it to me and than took my tray when i was done. Nice and warm soft bun. Loaded with meats. Will definitely go back and try something different. The one i had was the, "New yorker steamer" (i think that was what it was called.) The price for a large sub is pretty pricey. I guess really depends on which kind you get. Jus be ready to spend at least $15 plus taxes with a drink. Was at the major mackenzie and jane location. Not sure if it might be different prices else where.

I was greeted nicely immediately as I entered the store. This set the tone for the entire visit from start to finish. My experience at my local Firehouse Subs has always hovered right around the middle; not bad, but not great, but this location was great! My food was served promptly to my table. Everything was hot and fresh and tasted so much better. I only order one thing on the menu, and what I was served today here and in comparison to other Firehouse locations I’ve been to is so different. I wish I lived closer!
