I read some reviews about their being late with order, making some mistakes, not good customer service blah blah blah. Here is what I want to say. We are all humans. I have seen people behaving in certain manners but not having anything in their heart. Fully agreed that their business does require professionalism of some sort in all aspects and they can't grow their business like this from what I read other views. In fact, I myself felt a bit odd at start when we ordered combo and nothing was asked us to make sure out of two options which one you would like and later when we realised I went to correct that and I was told that they already made chicken curry but once corrected I was told they will make goat curry for me. Now if you compare with other highly rated complete etiquette restaurants, you might be right but if your sole goal is to enjoy the food, you can't be wrong visiting this place. I didn't seem this as part of wholly bad customer service, as long as reparations were done, probably not in a way you would expect but for me important thing was it was done. Not outright open and a bit shy customer service but the food was way fantastic. This was by far the best goat curry I have tried in GTA and felt obliged to write a review for them after reading these reviews. Again, don't get me wrong, fully agreed with people about their customer service, but this is not the place where I would go to experience great customer service but great food lol. if you know what I mean. I am ready to put aside my expectations of great service (would rather go to some place where they would charge me 150 dollar for combo and empty my pockets to get that whole experience which I never desire) for that time being, and just take it easy. And finally enjoy the pure test of fresh goat meat in a juicy curry. I would like to say thanks to both ladies for making amazingly great curry and made my day. Thanks! Mango lassi not bad either, not so sweet. perfect. thanks again. In fact when I was there, I saw another fellow coming over and ordered more food from their place cause he had apparently catered from them and his 10s of friends asked him where they got the food from. i haven't tried other places around there,so can't compare for the prices but for the price I paid, i was satisfied and came out feeling I just had a dinner somewhere in India!!!...
Read moreDid not enjoy the food or service. The lady at first didn’t want to come to the front and take my order, rather tried to shout out of a small window which is covered by a bunch of stuff. When she couldn’t hear what I wanted, she walked around and finally took my order (visibly upset that I didn’t yell louder and she had to come out to take my order). Ordered a kabob roll and they cut it in half after wrapping, so spent 5 minutes plucking small pieces of aluminum foil out of the roll before eating it. They gave me my food in a foam dollar store plate, and exactly 3 small dollar store napkins. As for the restaurant, it was an absolute mess, menus were dumped in this cubby next to the Register low on the floor, and the back hallway was filthy with rice spilled on a bunch of large Tupperware boxes, and on top of these they had a cutting tray. The edges of the walls had built up oily gunk. After giving me my food the lady proceeded out of the restaurant and came back inside again, didn’t wash her hands and went right into the kitchen preparing food again. The food was basic at best with what seemed like Shan Masala, and basically what you could make at home and nothing special. Lastly, the booths were stuffed to the rim with random things. I would not...
Read moreI'm giving Kabab & Karahi Point three stars. While the food is generally decent, the pricing feels a bit steep for what you get. It’s hard to justify the cost for a regular meal, which makes it less of a go-to spot for me. The portions are fair, but the overall value just isn't quite there compared to other similar places.
The one standout item that keeps me coming back is their biryani, which is consistently flavorful and well-prepared. It's truly a delicious dish and something I would recommend. I also really love their green sauce—it's got a great kick and complements everything perfectly. These two things are the saving grace of my visits and are the reason I still consider ordering from here on occasion.
However, the customer service could definitely use some improvement. The staff often seems rushed and not particularly friendly. A warmer greeting or a more attentive attitude would make the experience much more pleasant. It’s a bit of a letdown when you're paying higher prices and don't feel like a valued customer. A little more effort in this area would go a long way in making me want to...
