If you are in the Vaughan Mills area and are looking for bubble tea, do NOT go here! There is a Chatime and Happy Lemon establishment in the same plaza-both of which are much better options to choose from. I’ve been here a couple of times, and my past two visits were absolutely horrible. I thought that after my first bad experience I would give M Cha another chance, but boy was I wrong. When I initially went in September, I had a promotion for a ‘free drink size upgrade’. The female cashier did not ask for my loyalty information and punched in my drink order right away. When I tried to show her my promotion after, she said that she wouldn’t be able to honour it because it was too late. I said that she could simply just give me a bigger cup prior to making the order, which she became very argumentative about. Eventually she agreed, but her attitude was just as much apparent. Flash forward to November-my sister and I came back to M Cha and were met by the same cashier. In paying for both of our drinks, I had some cash that I wanted to get rid of and wanted to pay the remaining amount on my card. The cashier told us that she could only accept one form of payment and could not split the payment between two different options. We found this incredibly strange because we have never been to an establishment that did not allow for split payment methods (including independently owned businesses). We proceeded in just paying by card, but were met again by an appalling degree of disrespect by this cashier. Even upon making our drinks, I noticed an issue in the amount of ice that was put in both my drink and my sister’s. We both asked for less ice, but mine had significantly more than hers. I also asked for normal sugar but the drink was very tart (I ordered a creme brûlée milk tea for reference). I’m assuming they mixed up the less ice and normal sugar request. When I brought this to the cashier’s attention, she rudely said: ‘we can’t regulate our temperatures. What? Do you want me to remake it?’ In following her disgusting tone, I said yes. She proceeded to take my drink and throw it harshly in the garbage. I also heard her whispering to her male coworker about me while remaking my drink, which further illustrates the terrible customer service of this place. My sister and I will no longer return to this establishment. Management needs to seriously reconsider the female cashier’s level of professionalism and hire someone who is better suited to work in this type of environment. My sister and I have never come across such a blatant amount of disrespect and attitude from a business. Save your time and money for somewhere that will actually value you as a customer. Also, put her in some...
Read moreThis use to be my favourite place in Vaughan for bubble tea. Unfortunately, I think the owner has neglected this location. It's always understaffed, place looks a bit run down and orders take long to complete.
I think the experience from Tuesday really just left me feeling this M Cha is sloping downward fast. I was informed my credit that I purchase expired, I had about $100 something left. I didn't get a text or warning that it was coming up for expiry, in addition I thought legally gift cards cannot expire.
Regardless, I ordered 3 drinks and asked the cashier to check if I had enough points for redemption and was told those expired too. I paid for the 3 drinks and signed into Snappy to see I had over 100 points for redemption. I mentioned it to the cashier and she seemed a bit confused/flustered. Honestly, I could tell she was new and another customer came in complaining about an incorrect order so I just left with my 3 drinks.
These 3 drinks shrunk in size a bit, tasted fine BUT the lids were horrendous. The lids were worst than Tim Horton's ones. They wouldn't snap onto the cup correctly and kept popping off. I initially thought it was only my drink/cup but it turns out all 3 drinks had the same problem. If you slightly squeezed the cup for grip to pick up to bring to your mouth, the lid popped right off. I couldn't even hold it up before bending down to bring it to my son to take a sip without the lid popping off. We ended up finishing about 2/3s of the drink and tossed it out because the lid situation was unbearable.
Absolutely disgraceful. These drink are essentially is the brand, at least package your products correctly so customers can consume...
Read moreI love coming here. The interior is well-kept, and has a very chill atmosphere. Almost always empty when I head over to M Cha Bar. On the pricer side, but they do use quality ingredients you can TASTE, and differentiate from other bubble tea shops. I tried the soft serve with tapioca...SOO good. Pearl milk tea is a classic, ive heard their jasmine rose milk tea is really good as well! I’d you’re in the area, def check them out!
UPDATE NOW 2 STARS. the past few times I’ve been to M cha bar, their drinks, and customer service have gotten terrible. honestly from a 5 star to a 2 star. The baristas are not the most enthusiastic, they take FOREVER to make the drinks, even when going at non peak times. honestly ridiculous, and it happens every SINGLE time.
I also just placed an Uber eats order from m cha bar since they were one of the few bubble tea places open late, and I got my usual a pearl milk tea with 30% sugar. And I’m absolutely appalled. My drink has a strong floral aftertaste, it tastes like jasmine or even lavender. It throws the whole drink off. I also had 2 of my friends try the drink and they described it the same. The drink tastes like it’s gone bad, and with Uber eats prices, with drinks nearing the 8/9$ mark, this is unbelievable. Will not be ordering m cha bar ever again, nor will I be recommending my friends and family to come to this place. terrible. save your money and go elsewhere. Idk what the hell happened to m cha bar but it’s gone downhill FAST. I threw 90% of my drink down the drain and it smells like that nasty floral...
