McDonald’s at 670 Applewood Crescent, Vaughan, ON L4K 5X3 based on publicly available feedback
Overview
The McDonald’s at 670 Applewood Crescent (also listed as McDonald’s inside the Walmart at that address) operates under regular McDonald’s hours and provides standard menu offerings including breakfast, burgers, wraps, sides, McCafé items, delivery and take-out.
I ordered the veggie burger at this McDonald’s (670 Applewood Crescent, Vaughan) and was really disappointed. The patty tasted like it had been deep fried in old oil, it had a strong, unpleasant aftertaste that lingered. Definitely feels like the fryer oil needs to be changed more regularly. Not what I’d expect, even from a fast food spot.
What Works Well Menu Variety & Convenience You can order via delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash) or directly in-store. The menu is broad, covering McDonald’s staples (burgers, McNuggets, breakfast sandwiches, fries) which gives reliable choices. Accessibility & Location Being within or adjacent to a Walmart (or in that retail area) gives it good foot traffic and visibility. The location is listed as taking standard orders until around 11:00 PM. Positive Feedback on Food (Sometimes) Some delivery customers praise items as “fresh and tasty.” Others note that certain food items (e.g. fries) are among the stronger offerings.
Common Issues & Criticisms Inconsistent Service & Staff Attitude Several reviewers complain about staff being unenthusiastic or inattentive. “Staff looks at you like they don’t want to serve” “Employees are annoying …” Coffee Quality Concerns A recurring gripe is that the coffee is sometimes burnt or poorly made. “Coffee was burnt … I love McDonalds coffee but this was terrible …” Food Consistency (Salt / Quality Control) One user reported the fries were “too salty.” It seems that during busy periods or in delivery orders, the quality control might slip. Atmosphere & Cleanliness Some mention the interior can feel a bit lackluster, and upkeep is not always optimal. “Focus on cleanliness and people.” “… dark in colour … at least the staff can’t really ignore you the way they do …”
Overall Impressions & Recommendation
On balance, this McDonald’s location offers the convenience and familiarity one expects from the brand: a full menu, multiple ordering options, and standard hours. However, it appears to struggle with consistency in service, coffee quality, and staff engagement. If you visit during non-peak times, you may have a more positive experience.
Suggested visit plan: • Go with modest expectations about speed and customer service. • Stick to core menu items (fries, burgers) which seem less problematic than niche or beverage items. • If the coffee is important to you, maybe try it cautiously or have a...
Read moreI stopped by McDonald’s the other day for a quick bite, and it was a decent experience overall. The place was clean enough for a fast-food spot, and the staff were friendly when I ordered—nothing over-the-top, but they got my order right, which was a standard Big Mac and fries. The food came out pretty fast, and it tasted like the usual McDonald’s fare, so no complaints there. I liked that the drive-thru was moving at a steady pace, which made it convenient since I was in a bit of a rush. That said, it didn’t really go beyond what I’d expect from a McDonald’s. The fries were warm but not as crispy as they could’ve been, and while the service was fine, it wasn’t anything memorable. It’s consistent and gets the job done when you need something quick and cheap, but that’s about it—no real wow factor. I’ll probably be back because it’s reliable, but it’s not like it exceeded my expectations or left me eager to...
Read moreDisgusting and Unhygienic – Avoid This Location
This was by far the worst McDonald’s experience I’ve ever had. I found a female’s hair inside my Junior Chicken, which is absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, there were chewy chicken pieces in the burger that made it nearly impossible to eat.
The hygiene at this location is clearly not being taken seriously. Workers should be wearing gloves and proper hairnets when preparing food, yet it’s obvious they are not following basic food safety practices. This raises serious concerns about how food is being handled behind the counter.
Frankly, I wouldn’t even give this place one star if I had the option. This location needs to be investigated for its hygiene standards and food handling practices. If you value your health and don’t want to risk stomach pain or worse, I highly recommend avoiding this McDonald’s...
