Pho Vaughan has been around for a long time. At least this one has, compared to the new one down the block that thus far doesn't imitate its menu. We've come to this location from time-to-time over the years ever since a friend first introduced this local spot. On this visit, I had their standard Special Beef Noodle Soup which comprised of mostly rare beef to be cooked in the boiling hot broth. The soup base is generally clean though a little on the fatty side. It is quite satisfying to slurp down with the soft rice noodles. Their fried fish seems popular as a side dish for the regulars but is quite dry for my taste. A fishy sweet and sour aroma hits the second you enter the restaurant doors. There's nothing out-of-the-ordinary, but it always tends to be relatively packed at dinner time. It's another authentic family-run pho spot that serves up consistent noodle and rice dishes.

This was a smaller sized restaurant. Prices are a bit on the higher end as compared to other similar restaurants. Their special spring rolls are ginormous. The one order comes with 3 huge sized spring rolls, a bowl of vermicelli, veggies, garnish and fish sauce and was $20 for that dish. You can literally share between 2 adults for that one order. I just wish they had informed you about it prior to making it. The menu shows that it’s made up of shrimp, crab meat and ground pork but it was mainly (75%) ground pork only. It would’ve been nice if they turned their air conditioning on when it’s 29 degrees out - hot soups and a humid restaurant with no air circulation through it makes it very difficult to enjoy. My husband literally had to step out a few times to get the 29 degree air as it was more bearable than inside. Restaurant owner and staff don’t seem to care even though they know and can sense the discomfort as we had to pull out their menus to use as a fan.

Honestly, I am very disappointed . I came here few years ago and was disappointed with the food but was hungry so thought give this place a 2nd chance. But unfortunately just disappointed in general. Came in with just 1 table and 1 customer came afterwards. I sat down and waiting for tea or water but server ignored. He came and serve the customer that came before me with hot tea while I have no drinks yet. I wrote down, no onions but the dish came out with onions. The dish is very boring taste... I ordered Vietnamese ice coffee, from the moment my food came and when I stand up paying my bill. The coffee isn't ready yet. Honestly very disappointed.. last time for me..

We know that this restaurant was took over from another owner, but decided to give it a try. It’s still nice and very clean restaurant. Server is very polite and prompt. Food is below average, small portion now compared to previous owner. Using lot of MSG, my lips and throat were numb and dry after meal. Too bad this place used to be my go to when I was craving for Huế / Vietnamese dishes. Not anymore. I honestly wish they improve in the kitchen. Another demerit point was while customer enjoying their meal, the staff have loud discussion, laughing, make annoying noise. This is a place for business, not your backyard !

So I went to this place with my wife based on my clients recommendation. We decided to go with some pho soup. While waiting, the place seemed very cozy and the atmosphere was very home style. We sat beside a window and everything looked clean. It seems like it's a family run business and they were very nice. Once we made the order the food came out very fast and it was very so good! The broth just tasted amazing! We will come back here again for sure and will be long time customers and recommend others to try the food here! The prices are very good and the bathrooms were clean. Lots of parking and seating inside.

Bun Ca Dac Biet is special - chef told me this is specific region taste from North Viet. I like the soup and slice veggie (or fish meat? I don’t know but taste good), side dish come with a deep fried fish and meat roll which do not have much taste for me. Special Beef Pho is classic, soup base is good and in good portion. Spring roll a little bit disappointed. Not a big restaurant but clean and comfort. Customers mostly are Vietnamese, so taste is traditional.
