We literally left for the last time five minutes ago. With the biggest disappointment you can get from what we should consider business people. Here is the story: me and my kids wanted to go for some pizza. So we decided to drive to ciao Roma, on the way to it we tried to call to see if it was open because of long weekend. After listening to a very long recorded message, we had no chance to talk to somebody and no closing told. We found out from google that the place closes at 7, now it’s 5. So we decided to go. We get there and there’s a family before us having pizza. After them we approach the server at the counter and we order a whole margherita pizza. And she goes ‘oh sorry margherita pizza is finished’ and I said no I wanted a whole one. Then she told us that the kitchen is closed, so I explained that we tried to call so we didn’t have to drive 25 km for a piece of pizza. But she said they were short in supplies. So I wonder if there is still an hour and a half and you had no more pizza to make, why don’t you close the door and especially why don’t you answer the phone. I don’t think that in the future for us ciao Roma pizza a taglio wont be in our itinerary. Thanks for today have a nice long weekend...
Read moreFinally tried Ciao Roma for the first time today. Have known about the restaurant for the longest time but was always hesitant because I prefer my pizzas Neopolitan-style. I grew up in an Italian home where the pizza was made bakery-style, where the crust was more like a foccacia. Now I love bread and I love foccacia but when it comes to pizza, the less crust the better.
That said, after trying the slices from Ciao Roma, I will definitely come back. The crust is a bit thicker than I like but it is light and crisp. It is full of flavour and holds the toppings well. I tried the mushrooms and sausage slice and hot salami, hot pepper and green olives slice. The latter had some kick to it but I could definitely taste the tomato sauce, which tasted fresh and not overcooked. The white pizza with the mushrooms and sausage was full of great mushroom flavour but needed a pinch of salt. Would recommend a sprinkle of chili flakes or grated Parmesan before closing the box.
All that said, the pizza reminded me of my trips to Rome and is worth the drive to get a great slice of pizza with many...
Read moreMy husband and I recently had a fantastic experience at Ciao Roma, which stands out from the typical pizza joints. The unique pay-by-weight system allows you to sample multiple varieties of pizza without committing to a full slice or pie. This feature adds a delightful twist to your dining experience.
We tried four different types of pizza, and each one was phenomenal. The crust was wonderfully crispy, and the flavors were vibrant and well-balanced. Additionally, we indulged in a sandwich filled with prosciutto, arugula, and cheese, which was equally delicious.
Overall, Ciao Roma exceeded our expectations, and I can't wait to return for more culinary adventures. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a diverse...
