Well, this Scaddabush is located in a quite busy plaza in Vaughan. From the major Vaughan Cineplex to the Costco store, and tons of other smaller restaurants/bars, there can be a lot of cars in and out of the parking lots during peak hours. We came here for a dinner meal around 21:00 EST., and it was simple enough to find parking. After settling down, we ordered the Polenta Fries to share, which was disappointing. I guess we should've read the description better but what was thought to be a plate of fries turned out to be 6 "Jenga" sticks of "polenta" potate sticks with a red sauce (Marinara?). The taste was okay but portion size was tiny for 3 people, and it was slightly mushy on the inside, with texture consistency similar to that of a hash brown. I went with the "fennel sausage rigatoni" pasta dish, which was delicious. The pasta was al dente although a couple pieces were bordering the line of undercooked. The sausage was tasty, hot peppers were actually quite spicy, and the pasta sauce paired well with the arugula and other toppings in the dish. Finally, I went with the "Toasted Coconut Pina Colada", which tasted good. The alcohol was not too noticeable, and the toasted coconuts offered a different "crunch" texture which contrasted well to the tartness of the drink. A mint leaf rounded off the dynamic flavours and had me pleased. Costing around $14, it's up to you to decide if it's worth it. Final bill came out to just north of $50.00 CAD, so it's certainly not a cheap meal, and probably not worth the price tag in my honest opinion. Would I recommend Scaddabush? Well, as a casual italian meal, sure, but be prepared to shell out nearly half a century of dollars (har har) for a decently filling meal, if not more. See photos below for references.

We really enjoyed coming here and the service was amazing. We decided to have a party for our daughter’s first birthday. So we went to the restaurant to ask if they can do parties. The receptionist called someone who looks after events. We talked with her and she told us they have a room to use for parties and they had some party menus to choose from. It is a corner room with a lot of space depending on how large a party you are thinking of having. We put a deposit down to book the room (as it was busy for parties in the summer). The party day came and the food was amazing and so was the service. Very fast and attentive. Special thanks to: Gabby, Madison, Christian, and Lorie who served us amazingly. Pavee Siva the assistant general manager who kept in contact with us during the planning stages all the way up to the party, was very accommodating and professional. All our party guests loved the food especially my dad who’s a tough food critic loved his burger. Even with many kids there the party was well contained and they kept our cake in fridge and served it when we wanted. They set up a small table on the side for us for things like the cake and gifts and such. It is a smaller room but can fit many and has an amazing backdrop of a whole wall of wine which is great for pictures at our party. Overall we were very impressed and relived our daughter’s very special first birthday went by so smoothly. I don’t know what else to say other than come here and enjoy the good eats and great service!

Went here at the Colossus location with my best friend on a Saturday around 7-7:30PM and had no reservation. It was busy but we only waited about 20 mins until we got seated. Workers were all friendly and our server Michelle was great! She was very welcoming, recommended some good non-alcoholic drinks (can’t drink if you’re the driver!) and she was always checking up on us and asking us how everything is, and if we needed anything without overdoing it. Overall, great service by her. Onto the food, it was really good. My friend and I shared the calamari as an appetizer, it was pretty good, the sauce that came with it was decent as well. As my main, I got the Mushroom Truffle Fettuccine. It was really good, though a bit oily for my liking. Serving is of a decent size, although I had leftover to take home because it was quite filling, especially after an appetizer. Pasta still tasted just as good the next day! I also got a bite of my friend’s shrimp pasta and it was good as well, it didn’t have an overbearing seafood or “fishy” taste. The mushroom fettuccine is a must order if you come to Scaddabush though. Atmosphere was great, music wasn’t too loud and the place was nice and dim, washrooms were spacious but okay in terms of cleanliness. Had a nice big mirror for a quick little ootd though! Overall, I had a great experience at this location. Will be coming back again.

Reservations recommended even on weeknights as it does get busy. We made ours even though we were only a party of 2. The temperature inside the restaurant was hot and stuffy. The outside temperature was cooler than inside and when asked if this was normal, the waitress advised this that it was. To say the least, it was not comfortable sitting there in the heat our entire meal. We ordered the Naked Fresh Mozzarella, the Mushroom Truffle Mafalde and The Butcher Pizza to share. The Mozzarella is always a must order and was excellent. 👌 The mushroom truffle Mafalde however came hard and crunchy and appearred to have been sitting under a heat lamp for a while or something. pasta should never be hard! When I asked the waitress if the pasta was supposed to be hard, she said no and apologized and advised a replacement would be coming right away. I was surprised that the dish could ever leave the kitchen like that. The replacement arrived hot and the correct texture. My photo with this post was the first one we were served and as you may be able to tell, the pasta is hard/crispy. This really disappointed us since this place is known for fine/good food 🥴 The pizza arrived fine.👍

I recently enjoyed a terrific weekday lunch at this gem of an Italian bistro. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between funky and cozy, with decor that brings a contemporary twist to the classic Italian vibe. To start, I ordered a "small" Caesar salad that was pretty large — fresh, crisp, with just the right amount of tangy dressing. For the main course, I had the chicken parmesan - it was delicious. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, topped with a rich, gooey layer of cheese, while the pasta on the side was creamy, smooth, and served piping hot—a delightfully generous portion that felt like true comfort food. I rounded off the meal with their tiramisu, which, though not oversized, was just the right portion to satisfy my sweet tooth. It was everything you want in a tiramisu: silky, sweet, and a perfect end to the meal. My server, Liz, was outstanding—friendly and attentive. This is one of the best Italian spots I’ve found, a place where authentic flavours and warm hospitality come together beautifully. Can’t wait to come back here.

We had always been wanting to try this place out after hearing other people recommend it. We had excellent service but that is the only five star I am awarding. We started with a rib appetizer which was more bone than meat and had way too much honey and fried something or other as a filler in it. One main course was the pesto pollo which was in a very rich very creamy pesto sauce and was on the salty side. The other main course was the lasagna which was fine but was not rated amongst other lasagna dishes I have had in the past. The ricotta was too creamy, little shy on meat, and in a watery sauce that was tomato in name only. Music very loud. The other issue that annoyed me... If you want extra parmesan cheese you get a spoonful of powdered cheese rather than grated cheese that other restaurants will give you. Covid was the excuse. If you are looking for an adventure in Italian food then you could try this restaurant. However if you are like me and prefer authentic Italian food then there are a number of price comparable spots in Vaughan.
