EDIT: After contacting customer service, I was notified that their prices hadn't changed, it was an error on the server's part and she selected the wrong item. It was unfortunate that the server did not bother to look into these issues when I brought them to her attention at the time, but I'm glad their customer service was prompt in their replies and rectified the situation by sending me a gift card.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very disappointed with my experience here and their lack of proper customer service and business practices.
Before I get into my main issue with my experience dining here, I want to mention that their quality of desserts is average at best, especially considering the steep prices. I ordered the Nutty Professor waffle with a Nutella flavoured iced cappuccino. The iced cappuccino felt more like a heavy milkshake and the fruit on the waffles was very skimpy, as well as the Nutella sauce. It was pretty plain overall.
However, I was willing to look past that and wouldn't have even bothered leaving a review if it wasn't for what happened when the time came to pay our bills. There was a promo sign on each table stating that if you signed up with your email, you'd receive a 25% discount code. After signing up, the coupon code ended up only being worth 15% off. I brought this discrepancy to the attention of our server and she said "sorry, I guess there's a mistake or maybe that's an old promo"...I understand the promo could have changed, but it doesn't change the fact that it's being advertised and should be honoured regardless. I've NEVER experienced a business refusing to fix their mistakes. Anyway, as annoyed as I was, I was still willing to look past it until I looked at how much I was actually charged.
I realized my receipt indicated that I was charged more for my iced cappuccino than the price indicated on the menu (and both their online and physical menus in-person have outdated prices). The ice cappuccino on its own was supposed to be $6.50, and then to add the Nutella flavour was supposed to cost an additional $1.50. My receipt showed that I was being charged $2.75 for the Nutella flavour. Once again, I brought this to the attention of my server and she said "sorry, I guess they didn't update the menu". I told her that I shouldn't have to pay the increased price and she just kept saying "sorry" and that she'd pass along my message. 'Sorry' is not acceptable when you're advertising lower prices and better promotions. It is dishonest and unacceptable for businesses to operate like this - I shouldn't have had to pay the higher price just because they "forgot" to update their menu....

Sugarhill Desserts is a cute spot that I’ve visited a handful of times, and it’s become one of my go-to places for meeting up with friends or going on a date. The aesthetic interior immediately catches your eye—everything feels thoughtfully designed, contributing to a calm and peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to chat or just want to enjoy a moment of tranquillity, this spot delivers on both fronts.
One of the things I appreciate most about Sugarhill Desserts is that their offerings are not too sweet, but just sweet enough to satisfy a craving without overwhelming your taste buds. The balance in their desserts makes it easy to enjoy more than one without feeling like you've overindulged. This is a place where you can appreciate the flavours without worrying about an over-the-top sugar rush, which I find refreshing.
Customer service at Sugarhill Desserts was decent, though it didn't particularly stand out during my visits. The staff were polite and efficient, ensuring that orders were taken and delivered promptly, but there wasn’t any exceptional interaction that made the service particularly memorable. However, the overall experience was positive enough that it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the food or the ambience.
In summary, Sugarhill Desserts offers a solid experience with its calming atmosphere, aesthetically pleasing interior, and well-balanced desserts. While the customer service could use a bit more warmth or personal touch to make it more memorable, it still remains a great spot for casual outings or intimate dates. If you're looking for a peaceful place to enjoy some sweet treats, this place is definitely worth a...

Good experience! worth the journey if you want to try something new!
I love the interior of the restaurant. I like the calming colours and the seating area, they had 5 gender neutral washrooms!
I noticed when I went in the evening there was no type of social distancing or barriers. I saw separate tables and parties sitting next to each other with very minimal protection.
The restaurant also has the same prices as other dessert restaurants but I find that the portions were smaller than other small dessert restaurants. So be aware of that!

The wait staff were more than kind especially when they had more customers to serve, we were helped by a lady with black hair and she was very helpful.
Although my friends and I ran into a problem with the cutlery, they were beyond dirty with dishwasher stains and other things. We asked her to bring us other ones and she kindly apologized although I think this should not happen because it can be a safety and health hazard.
I'd like to come back again and try it out, I feel like my experience was not so compensated as the dirt from the dishes were passed by from staff and forgotten about!
Overall a good experience! worth...
