The Mills TapHouse + Grill — Restaurant in Vaughan

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! NOT A PLACE TO GO!!!! I had called to book a table for two today and was told on the phone that they take walk-ins only. I went in person a couple hours later only to be told by the staff that there was no seating for two avaliable, and that the restaurant was at full capacity and they couldn't seat anyone until another table had left. I left my name and number on a notepad and the waitress said that she would call as soon as a table becomes free. I ended up waiting outside the restaurant as there is nowhere to wait inside. After about 5 minutes of waiting, 3 men walked in and got sat immediately! After seeing this I went in right away and asked about my spot on the waitlist only to be told AGAIN that the restaurant was at full capacity. When we brought up to the waitress again that we had just put our name on a wait list and was next to be seated all she kept saying was "the restaurant is at full capacity". Then we asked about the 3 men that got seated and she said "they booked a table" even though we were told earlier today that they DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS! Unbelievable. On top of all of this, indoor capacity should be 10 people seated at any given time. I counted the guest inside and there was at least 17 people sat inside dining!!!! COULD NOT BELIEVE THE SERVICE...

We visited the place yesterday. The head server assigned us a table. We ordered a pizza, one burger, a poutine and a beer jug. The food was really delicious. We had a great time there after a long working shift at our part time job. The atmosphere was cozy. We asked for the bill and paid the same but we didn’t tip coz we ourselves earn a minimum wage and save bucks in order to bear our daily living expenses as students. At the time when the head server gave us our receipt, she straighten forwardly said “You guys didn’t tip. That’s cheap of you!”. We felt so bad that eventually the gala time that we had ended on a very sad and an embarrassing note. We didn’t expected that the head server would insult in such a way. We gave an embarasing smile and left. Just a suggestion: i agree while visiting a restaurant people should tip but not all of us come with those extra bucks to give it as tip. The atmosphere is awesome! Feels like the type of place you could have a conversation with the person in the table next to you

Melissa is our waitress every time and is always super friendly even though she’s forever running around Surprisingly attentive and willing to have a conversation no matter how many plates she has in her hands

And don’t get me started on the food! for the price point It is so delicious! I recommend the calamari and the Canadian pizza

we have shown several friends this place and every single time they have told us how much they love it

Don’t go to a Kelsey or jack astors when a place like this exists!!
