Protein portions are very hit and miss - I have ordered chicken and not been able to pick out a piece seeing some shreds mixed in. Also can be a decent amount, unfortunate because you don't know whether or not to order extra.
They are also skimpy with the sauce - most Teriyaki Experience's I visit are happy to put a little extra sauce on for me, usually a couple scoops. I like to reheat my leftovers later on and it tends to try out a lot in the microwave. I have suspicions they water their sauce down at this location as well.
The first time I mentioned I would like extra sauce when I ordered, they told me not to pay or worry and put 5 scoops on my meal and gave me an extra for the side. Then he proceeded to lecture me about my sodium intake and my health. Exactly the lecture I was looking for during my lunch break! I felt pretty judged.
The next time I asked for extra sauce the gentleman (who is usually very talkative at least) would not give me more than two scoops, and demanded that I pay 25 cents for any extra containers of sauce. Since I already purchased my food I paid for the extra sauce and I would rather not go back. Too much of a headache to just get some extra...
Read moreTerrible quality of food. I ordered a tofu bowl with rice. They forgot my rice and argued with me that my meal didn’t come with rice. I explained I have been to this franchise before and I know what it comes with. The chicken and tofu was sitting on the counter. I received raw tofu that was clearly a different product than the rest of the franchisees. I went back within seconds and he argued with me for 5 minutes before giving me my money back. He did not give me the correct amount back; he shorted me $2. And he called me “boy” multiple times while getting angry with me. I am an adult and I am completely disgusted with the quality, service, and guest recovery of this location. Head office will be contacted on Monday. Until then, in my personal opinion; do not come here it’s disgusting. Go to...
Read moreThe people who work there are wonderful and friendly people the place is clean but the ramen is not ramen in any sense of the word. Normally I don't post reviews but usually when I pay $10 +HST for a Ramen, I get a ramen. Their 'new' 'Ramen' is not Ramen. I knew from the minute I ordered and they asked if I want beef, chicken or shrimp with it. I asked them 'Aren't Ramens traditionally made with pork' and I just got a blank stare so I asked again and the worker replied 'beef, chicken or shrimp' so I said beef. The broth is a typical powdered stock and not pork/mirin/soy (like it should be) in any way. There were mixed veg and noodles, then grilled beef with mushrooms, and finally a hard boiled egg that...
