We were served by a young woman called Tia. We were put on the waiting list to be seated at 6:30pm and we were told it would be a 50-60 minute wait, and it ended up being exactly 2 hours that we waited for our table. I went to dine with my husband, my 2 year old toddler and I am currently 6 months pregnant so as you can imagine, this wait was a huge deal for us. However, my reason for this email is not so much for the wait because the manager did come to our table and offer our appetizers to be on the house due to this issue which we greatly appreciated, however, my overall experience was not the greatest, and the weight did have a lot to do with it because our toddler ended up being exhausted by the time we got seated, therefore our whole dining experience was not desirable.

My main reason of disappointment was our server, Tia. She was extremely unprofessional throughout our whole night for many reasons, but two of them being the highlight of this email. My husband ordered the steak and lobster, and I ordered the prime rib with a side of Bernaise sauce. The kitchen staff mistakenly put the sauce on my husband‘s plates, but we didn’t realize it until I asked the server where my sauce was, she then realized she must’ve left it in the kitchen and before leaving to go get it, she looked at my husband‘s plate as he was eating and realized the sauce was on his plate and grabbed it from his plate while he was having eating from it. My jaw dropped when she did this as it was extremely unprofessional, but not ruin our dining experience more I didn’t say anything. What disappointed me the most was when it was time to pay for our meal, I had asked tia for the machine and we’d be paying by card. When she brought it and handed it over to me, it was automatically prompted to the tip page with ONLY percentage options. I am very familiar with these machines as I’ve worked in fine dining myself and have also managed in fine dining restaurants, and I knew that she had skipped two options that were my choice and handed me the machine with her desired option for me to tip, which was in the “percentage” format, not “amount”. To confirm that this was already not formatted this way I went back a few options on the machine and confirmed myself that she had skipped the options that were for ME to choose. The machine asked if i even wanted to tip, which she had pressed “yes” on my behalf, and it then asked if i wanted to tip in % or $ and she had chosen % again, on MY behalf and then handed me the machine. I found this extremely unprofessional as I usually always tip using the “$” option. She was trying to be sneaky, which I did not appreciate and coming from a fine dining restaurant, It’s not the type of behaviour I expected.

Overall, I appreciate the Manager took out the appetizers but she did so just because of the long wait we had to get our table, I didn’t realize our server was going to do all of these things or else I would’ve mentioned it to the manager as well and we had to leave quickly because our son was overly exhausted from already waiting two hours to just be seated. I am very disappointed at the service we received with Tia as I know what is to be expected from a fine restaurant and our experience today was...

I am so disappointed writing this review, The Keg has always been my "Go To" for a guaranteed excellent meal and experience, however after tonight's experience, I honestly think it's time to find a new place as my "Go To". Where to start, my hubby & I both ordered the "Keg Classic Dinner" thinking we were getting, Caesar salad with bacon & fresh parm, prime rib, twice baked potatoes, mushrooms & fresh garden veggies, what we got was a Caesar salad we could get anywhere, no bacon, no fresh parm and half the size I'm use to, plus instead of fresh veggies, we got deep fried onion strings. What the heck? The quality of the food has gone way down, our bread came on plate as well, not in a warming basket. It's been a while since I've been to the keg but jees we could have gone to the out back for this quality. Also, my keg size Mai Tai was clear, came in a short glass instead of keg style larger glass, then my rosè sangria was white as well, not Rosie pink or reddish and no more fresh pepper from the servers, instead they offer a pepper grinder that you have to share with the tables around you because there isn't enough for all the tables. I can't express how disappointed I was tonight, such a shame that all of these cut backs have taken place, I rather pay extra for the high quality I'm use to. The server we rec'd tonight was fantastic though. Our server sent back items & came back with freshly made drinks although the same quality so it's not a mistake it's the new standard. Hopefully someone is reading this that has the ability to make some quality changes. Spending over $220 for dinner & drinks, I expect the same quality I've known for the past 25 years. After still waiting to hear from management months later, we chose Baton Rouge to try as our new "Go To" and we were pleasantly surprised and their sangrias are so good, steak was perfect, price point reflected the quality of food. Sorry Keg, but we have found our new Go To restaurant to continue our...

The hostess at the front of the restaurant was polite when I arrived and asked for a table for two. She informed me there would be a 15-minute wait, so I provided my name and sat down. However, after waiting 35 minutes and noticing other guests receiving pagers to hold their place, I realized I hadn’t been given one.

When I approached the hostess to check on the status, it became clear that I had not been entered into the system at all. She couldn’t provide an explanation but did apologize and promptly gave me a pager. Thankfully, they were able to seat us almost immediately after recognizing the mistake.

While I appreciate the quick recovery, the front-of-house operations need to be more organized. Had the delay continued, I likely would have left

We were greeted by Kimberly, whose warm and sincerely apologetic demeanor immediately put us at ease. She assured us she would do everything she could to turn our evening around—and she absolutely delivered. The service she provided went far beyond our expectations. Throughout the night, she stayed in constant communication, ensuring every dish arrived on time and was perfectly prepared.

We had nearly left due to an issue at the start of our visit, but thanks to Kimberly’s exceptional care and positive energy, we decided to stay—and we’re so glad we did. Her enthusiasm, attentiveness, and professionalism completely transformed our experience. Kimberly truly turned our evening into a memorable one

The steaks were cooked to perfection—something that may seem simple, but as a Keg fan for over 20 years, I can say it’s not always a given. I’ve consistently struggled to get a properly prepared blue steak at various Keg locations; some won’t serve it at all, while others overcook it entirely.

This visit, however, was a standout. The kitchen delivered exactly what I asked for, meeting all my expectations. Aside from a Michelin-starred restaurant, this is the only place that’s ever truly...

I made a reservation on OpenTable for my friend’s birthday celebration and added a note about the special occasion. We were promptly seated by the host, and our server greeted us warmly as we ordered drinks, two appetizers, and our steak mains. We requested to have our meals served in courses. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet our expectations. The Keg bread we received was stale, which made it impossible to enjoy with our appetizers. The Baked Garlic Shrimp was good, but it came with a smaller bun than the usual brioche double bun, leaving us wanting more to soak up the flavorful shrimp juice. The Mushroom Dip, while my friend enjoyed it, was too watery for my taste, though I did like the bun it was served with. To our surprise, our mains arrived less than ten minutes after the appetizers, even though we hadn’t finished them yet. This was particularly disappointing since we had specifically requested our meals to be coursed. It felt rushed, and I couldn’t help but wonder why the entrees were served before clearing the appetizers. When it came to the quality of the steak and the doneness of the twice-baked potato, I was underwhelmed. I’ve always chosen The Keg for its high-quality steak, but this visit left me questioning whether the standards have declined since my last visit over two years ago. As we were offered dessert, I felt a bit awkward bringing up the special occasion. Our server didn’t acknowledge our celebration, which was surprising given how she interacted with other tables. Sadly, there was no birthday dessert, which made me feel embarrassed as I had planned this special outing for my friend. Overall, The Keg didn’t live up to the expectations I had from my previous experiences. It’s disheartening to see such a decline, and I hope they can restore the quality and attention to detail that used to define their service.

The Keg is always a good time and my family and I have enjoyed coming here for years. The food and drinks have always been good, the servers and hosts have always been pleasant and attentive, and the proximity to the shopping mall and highway is very convenient. We appreciate all of these things very much. Now, the only challenge we have is that the menu has changed over the years, where now, it seems there are fewer options than before and prices have gone up quite a bit—especially for certain mainstays. (Yes, I understand inflation and whatnot), but for example, the Keg Burger used to come with all the dressings and a nice garlic aioli. Now it's a shell of itself where it has this weird orange sauce you'd probably get at a fast food take-out restaurant. You also have to ask for things like a tomato slice to be added when it used to be on it naturally, and if you eat pork, the bacon is now a chargeable add-on. Moreover, the parmesan puffs are still on the menu, but they're no longer available. I suppose they didn't want to reprint the menus, so it was a bit disappointing after waiting to hear we couldn't order one of our favourite appetizers. Nevertheless, despite all of this, we still enjoy the Keg and will return in the future.
