Doner Delight — Restaurant in Victoria

Order chicken sandwich, looked tempting and delicious but unfortunately didn't like it at all. No taste nothing, chicken quantity was very less. Not worth the money at all. Not going again.

Reply to owner: Sir I have had turkish style sandwiches before also but as as customer I didn't like the taste & serving portion. And you as a business owner should be respectful about the feedbacks you are getting. The amount you are charging first of all don't do justice to the quantity we get. Secondly, have some decency when you are replying back or talking to someone. I can eat at home and if we all start eating at home then it will difficult for a business to run. And I didn't had food for free I paid a good amount for it. Thirdly, nowhere I have mentioned that your sandwich didn't tasted like Indian flavour and this particularly I found very racist. Additionally, rating about the atmosphere is what I felt as a customer. I never mentioned about the decoration and stuff... for your kind information. When you enter a place to eat you should feel welcomed, this was my first time and no where I felt welcomed and the person didn't even bothered to help me to recommend anything. That's why you got low rating on atmosphere also. Your response is very racist and is not acceptable and moreover learn to write the correct spelling it's not Warsha.. it's Varsha. Lastly, the kind of response I got here and on my social media is completely opposite, try to be on same page before responding to anyone. This spot truly offers the most authentic Turkish donair I’ve tasted in Victoria,Canada. During my visit, the entire team was Turkish, which added to the authenticity and warmth of the experience. The highlight was knowing they have a genuine Turkish donair chef crafting every meal with skill and passion. Their menu is diverse, offering multiple ways to enjoy their flavorful donairs.

One of the standout elements is their dessert selection. I highly recommend trying the baklava—it’s rich, flaky, and truly tastes homemade. The ambiance of the restaurant is also worth mentioning. With beautiful Mediterranean-inspired décor, the space is both inviting and spacious—ideal for families or group outings. It genuinely gives off a warm Mediterranean vibe, even though I’ve never been there myself!

I had the beef sandwich with fries, and it was a delight. The meat was cooked perfectly—tender and full of flavor—while the fries were fresh and crispy. The overall plating and portion size left us fully satisfied.

A special shoutout to one of the staff members (didn’t catch his name), who really elevated our visit. He was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu and suggested the platter, which turned out to be the perfect choice. From the moment we stepped in, he greeted us with a smile, remained attentive, ensured our food arrived quickly, and followed up to check if we needed anything else. Truly impressive service. Big kudos to him for making our meal memorable.

Authentic Turkish restaurant in Downtown Victoria. Location is easily accessible by public transport, and all the hotspots are nearby within walking distance, such as Parliament Building and The Empress. The food is super delicious. We had the Chicken X Beef Doner Platter, and absolutely loved it. The platter had chicken, beef, rice, fries and greens (onion, beetroot, pickle, tomato and pepper). The meat is nice and simple, just enough roasted and spiced, the rice is soft and adds to the flavour of the platter when everything is combined. Fries were crispy and the total combo was very nice to taste.

The staff, Eyob (Ayub) was prompt to help me choose which dish to order. He knew what he was doing and guided us to the platter, which definitely made our day! From the start to the end he had a smile on his face and was quick on his feet to get our food ready! Also, he followed up asking if we needed anything else. Kudos to such hardworking employee.

The decor of the place has a nice touch of Turkish art and decoration pieces. It’s very spacious and doesn’t feel congested at all. It is definitely a place where you can visit with your family and have great Turkish food. We will definitely be going back, this time for their...
