Passive aggressive waitress. Yesterday at dinner my family felt singled out by being people of colour, POC because of her.

When my family entered the restaurant the waitress did not welcome us unlike other patrons.

2.We ordered a pizza each and chicken wings on the side. She only brought us one pizza assuming all 5 of us were sharing. Afterwards, she said “it’s all for you?” in a questioning tone. It’s not appropriate to comment on someone’s portion size or to speak to customers in a rude passive aggressive tone. Especially to children.

She treated the other customers around us in a nice tone. Always asking “how is the food tasting” and if they would like dessert. We however, were not offered these comments or dessert.

she would not make eye contact with us I had to ask for the dessert menu -she forgot one of my daughters desserts. -people who arrived later than us were served before us. We waited 1.5 hours before being served.

this is what really made us feel singled out as people of colour POC

Once we were served she commented on clearing the table even though we all just had our first bite. She said she’s asking because we are “overcrowding”. This was all delivered in a passive aggressive manner.

-while we were eating she kept asking to clear our full plates that were not finished.

When it was time to pay the first thing she asked is if the bill was going to be split in a judgmental way. I was with my children, so of course only I would be paying as the adult.

We wanted to call beforehand to see if we could make a reservation, but nobody answered. We patiently called multiple times, but received no response.

Overall, we received poor customer service. It was an unpleasant experience feeling singled out as people of colour POC. My children have felt impacted by...

I was looking for a happy hour venue in the early afternoon, with dozens to choose from. Based on the ultimateVictoria happyhours website, I wanted to try some of their advertised specials. After being seated I asked for a happy hour menu and I was told that they don't do happy hour. I ordered regardless to give the restaurant a try since I was already here. They were a few tables of the 60+ seat venue that were occupied and they only had one server on and an assistant to service the entire restaurant. My sandwich and salad took quite a long time to arrive. While I waited I confirmed on their website that they in fact DO offer happy hour AND daily specials, for the specific location (address verified) I went to. Upon asking the person delivering the food (who turned out to be the GM/owner?) about why I wasn't told of or offered any of these menus he replied that he chose not to offer any of these services with no particular reason why. I told him the specific reason I decided to come here today was because of the current information available online and had I had known, I wouldn't have come. I would have rather visited for dinner another day. Also the Negroni I ordered specifically said on the menu "comes with a large cube" and it came with regular cubed ice. I told him that they may want to do something about their false advertising. The sandwich was overloaded with ranch dressing (mayonnaise) and the Caesar salad had many pieces of lettuce that were past their acceptable serving date.

I will...

Hi, last night I went to famoso and my experience there was just awful. I called to make a reservation and everything was great except for when the waitress discovered that my name was Beatrice. The night before they received a bad review from another person who had the same name of mine and she was accusing me of being the same person and she didn’t want me to go to the restaurant. At last I managed to convince her that I was a different Beatrice but when we arrived there another thing happened. I was sitting at a table with a friend and my two sisters came with another friend. This friend was accused of being there the night before and of being rude to the staff (he had never been there before). My sister politely told the waitress that she was being rude and that she did the exact same thing with me at the phone and the waitress told us to go away. Don’t get me wrong the food is great but the staff was just so awful and they used the excuse that they were stressed to justify their behavior. We had a discussion also with the husband of the waitress who was working there and he wouldn’t let me talk. So, in conclusion I want to say that that their behavior was so unprofessional and I have never been treated so badly in my life and for certain I will never go...

Seeing that I frequently stop by Market Square to charge up my laptop and other devices, I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy pizza now and again from the nearby Famoso, which backs onto the square’s fabulous courtyard where I sometimes work during the afternoons. Happy to report that each experience has been a delight, thanks to the friendly service and absolutely delicious food. Pretty much the ideal Neapolitan-style, in my opinion, and definitely worth checking out if a thin-crust pizza, slightly charred to perfection, topped with a generous amount of fresh, quality ingredients is what you happen to be craving.

It was just us and another customer so I don't think we can blame whatever this pizza was on how busy they were, can we? What you see on the pictures is a saggy pizza with maybe a descent crust, with some low grade deli chicken squares on top and raw onions and tomatoes that feel were added at the last minute? I didn't know a pizza could taste over cooked and raw at the same time... Furthermore, we weren't asked if we wanted more pop, I guess soda refills are not an option? Last but not least the staff could work a little on presentation, running around in dirty tops/uniforms I mean what's the excuse for that?
