Had a few excellent dinners here in the past. Yesterday I ordered the maze soba. The first few bites were great, and then the most overwhelming Garlic was had. The dish was heavily loaded with fresh crushed garlic. It destroyed the dish as it was just too much. My friend tried it and said he has never eaten so much garlic in a dish. Mentioned it to our server, who obviously didn’t understand English and just smiled. The menu has no mention of garlic. Ate what I could scrapping off the garlic and then just couldn’t eat anymore. Asked for the bill and paid it. As we were leaving I mentioned it to another server who certainly understood and went to chat to the management. Apologized and mentioned that the menu was wrong and would be updated. Servers are an integral part of a dining experience, please train your staff and make sure they are able to communicate with...
Read moreReach inside that bag of frozen goodies and deep fry it. Had the Karaagai, Gyoza and Takoyaki. None were made in house. All from frozen. Karaagai had barely no flavour of the usual garlic and ginger. Gyoza deep fried to a hockey puck with nearly nothing inside. All dough. Takoyaki was the biggest disappointment. 98% dough. Squid inside was the size of a bean. All dough.
I didn't have Ramen but my wife and daughter did. Daughter didn't think it was bad. My wife however said the noodles were not just mushy and overcooked but the flavour wasn't anything to write home about.
Service was pretty good. Polite, friendly and speedy.
Atmosphere was ok. Music was at a decent level as to not interfere with dinner. Halloween decor was done tastefully. Love the brick and wood.
Would I recommend? No. Would my wife recommend? No. Would my 15 year old...
Read moreMy family from Toronto loves trying ramen whenever they travel, so I brought them there last week. It’s also my first time trying their ramen and I was very impressed by their quality. We had the Tonkotsu, Spicy Tonkotsu and Lobster Ramen and were amazed by the broth. Unlike other ramen restaurants , their broth was not too salty and you could really taste the genuine flavour of the broth. I would prefer the lobster not fried though, coz the sweetness of the lobster could add special flavour to the broth. They serve a thinner type of ramen, which could be very soft if overcooked, but they handled it very well. A very enjoyable meal with great service. Special thanks to Aya for her great customer service. Would...
