I recently took my mother (visiting from Nova Scotia) here along with my five year-old daughter. We thought it was fabulous. Our very first afternoon tea. The server, Cali, was knowledgable and super friendly. They were very accommodating and understanding of my dietary restrictions. They also even offered to make a mini plate for my five year-old daughter which included lovely fresh fruit, and a croissant. I’m a coffee drinker, and enjoy tea when I’m sick. I took the recommendation from Cali on the creamed Earl Grey and it was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t stop drinking it and finished the entire pot. Their afternoon tea is very reasonable priced and every item on the three tier plate was delicious. My mother had the small cream tea (we shared everything). We couldn’t get over the texture and flavour of the scones. They also put a lot of thought into the decor and finishing touches like super cute napkins, and an actual sugar dish and creamer on each table. We just had a fantastic time and even the owner of the restaurant came out to introduce herself and to see how everybody was doing it was just a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this restaurant for afternoon tea. I hope to go back soon to treat myself.

Next time you’re in Victoria, make sure to grab your morning tea or coffee in James Bay at Piggy & Paisley! If you go right after opening, you’ll be welcomed by the aroma of fresh baked croissants and treats and a warm hello by their friendly staff. My sister and I were on a girls’ weekend and when we came across the name “Piggy & Paisley” on Google, we knew we had to go and we were right! The shop is charming and welcoming, with lovely decor and cozy nooks, books & puzzle - plus artisan crafts and local artwork to browse. We absolutely adored it here and will definitely return - hopefully for their afternoon tea! A definite “don’t miss” in James Bay! P.S. the breakfast bun and chai tea latte were also super tasty!

Adorable place. Truly a lovely experience. Our waitress Sara(h) was so kind and friendly, really made our experience great. The food was delicious. The smoked salmon on the baguette and the berry scone with the clotted cream were the stars of the show (still thinking about them, I suggest a mix of raspberry and rose jam). All of the teas were quite tasty (I enjoyed the lychee/lichee jasmine tea and the cinnamon roll chai(?)). The owners were extremely friendly and great hosts. One of the owners came to our table to make sure we were enjoying everything. The atmosphere was adorable, very cute decorations (great for photos), and the tea cups and tea pots were beautiful. Would definitely come back.

Hello Piggy and Paisley I will share about my service experience. I ordered 2 croissants, a biscuit, and a beverage. I had wanted to order a sweet treat but as I was asking the staff questions about the items in the case she interrupted me and told me that if I hadn’t made up my mind yet she would have to go to the next customer. Ok if she cannot answer questions about the item in the case I won’t get anything sweet. I also asked about which items have nuts in them as I have a peanut allergy.

When I received my order I was surprised to find a peanut butter cookie in the bag with all my other items. When I went back to the store to bring back the items, she insisted that I ordered the peanut butter cookie! She didn’t even apologize for the mixup. I told her I most definitely didn’t order the peanut butter cookie when I have a peanut allergy. My receipt also didn’t say peanut butter cookie. She didn’t offer to replace the other items in the bag touching the peanut butter cookie and I ended up giving them away as it didn’t feel safe to eat them.

I understand that mistakes happen and cross contamination happens and that’s life, she could have at least apologized for the mistake and replaced the items. I also don’t see why she couldn’t have just answered my questions and why she was in a rush when it was mid morning during the week, not busy at all. I really like eating here so that’s why food and atmosphere...

Shame on them not even there bathroom is disabilities friendly and the own is too stupid to put money into it to make it disabilities friendly but I guess when you have no brains and to cheap to care yoy will run a business like it's a clown school shame on the staff the staff have no coustomer service skills and they are too stupid to realize by not having a bathroom for disabilities people where they can take there walker in with them is against the law but again the staff must be stupid and missing brains if they...
