🍽️ Food Quality & Taste
The food was extremely disappointing and had no resemblance to authentic Levantine cuisine — bland, greasy, and made with low-quality ingredients that were hard to identify. With Middle Eastern food, you expect freshness, flavor, and presentation, but everything here looked and tasted like cheap cafeteria fare. Portions were average but poorly packaged to go — my shawarma wasn’t wrapped in paper and was drenched in hummus that should’ve been in a separate container. Nothing about this meal justified the menu prices.
🧑🍳 Customer Service & Experience
Service was careless from the start. The young man at the counter seemed distracted and uninterested as we tried to order. Questions about the menu were brushed off, and after paying, we discovered a better deal he never mentioned — something that most restaurants make a point to highlight. That lack of honesty and accountability erased any goodwill I had going into this experience.
⏱️ Speed & Efficiency
The restaurant wasn’t busy, yet service felt disorganized and detached. Staff avoided customers instead of assisting them, and there was no sense of hospitality or care whatsoever.
💸 Value for Money
Prices are mid-range, but the food quality is far below par. You’ll find better flavor, freshness, and value at almost any other shawarma spot in town. There’s no value here — just carelessness and complacency.
🥙 Dish Ordered: Levantine Shawarma Platter – $24.99
Chewy, overcooked chicken and beef with unpleasant fatty bits; a soggy, greasy wrap; unseasoned frozen fries; and a bland fattoush salad that tasted like an afterthought. The so-called “house Levanti sauce” was indistinguishable, and the hummus was the worst offender — flavorless, lacking lemon, garlic, tahini, or even salt. Just beige slop.
⚠️ Final Thoughts
If you value your money, time, or taste buds, skip this place. There are far better restaurants nearby that actually care about their food and their customers. This one feels like it’s running on autopilot —...
Read moreWe came here for dinner and had to order up at the counter. We ordered the Shawarma Platter which included chicken and beef on rice and 4 sides. The food we got was very tasty except for one of the sides, meat with pastry, was still frozen. The hummus was very creamy but we didn't get any pita bread with it. The service was not good. Our food was brought out and basically thrown on the table. The server ran off before we could ask him to explain the dish that we had ordered. He never returned to ask how everything was, just sat in the back on his phone. We had to go up to the counter again when we didn't receive the dessert that we had ordered and paid extra for. He tried to charge us again for it so we had to explain that it was already paid for. This is more of a fast food place than...
Read moreWe were nearby shopping and decided to give this place a try based on some positive reviews.
We were taken back by how dirty the restaurant was. The floor was slippery. The chairs fabric (tapestry) was black from grime (I didn’t want to sit down), tables were dirty and when we got to the counter to order, the young man behind the till was scratching his hair 🤮. It turned out he was also our server. Don’t even get me going in the washroom.
We were a little suspicious there was only two other people in the restaurant.
The food arrived. It was the worst shawarma I’ve ever had. Very dry, barely any meat…it was bland. Very disappointing. Server never returned to ask how we were doing. Probably a good thing..,,they would have gotten an honest report. Never again. I do...
