I visited The Prohibition Warehouse with some friends and had an amazing time! This place is happening, with a young and energetic crowd and a packed atmosphere. Even with 50 people waiting outside, the energy inside was electric and made me feel young again! The food was simply awesome (specially chicken wings), and our server Claire was a real standout. Despite serving so many customers at once, she was incredibly active and managed everything in a great way. It's not easy to keep up with a busy crowd, but Claire made it look effortless. Overall, I highly recommend The Prohibition Warehouse for anyone who's looking for a fun and lively spot with excellent food and service. Just be aware that the crowd can get a bit noisy, so it may not be the best option for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere. But if you're ready to feel young and have a great time, this is definitely the place to be!

If you’re in Waterloo and looking for a good time, The Prohibition Warehouse is the spot. The vibes are always on point, great music, friendly staff, and a crowd that knows how to have fun. The food hits the spot, and the drinks? Let’s just say they serve the cheapest Jäger in Ontario, and it’s colder than your ex’s heart. 😏 They also host the best trivia night in Ontario, seriously, it’s competitive, hilarious, and always a blast. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. Whether you’re out with friends, catching live music, or just looking for a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously while still delivering a great night out, this place nails it. Highly recommend stopping by, you won’t regret it!

I had a deeply troubling experience with the security guard at The Prohibition Warehouse recently. After waiting for three hours, we were shocked when he demanded $40 cash from each of us just to enter. When we questioned this unfair practice, he threatened not to let us in until 2 am. Even worse, he allowed others to enter ahead of us after they paid. This DISCRIMINATORY behavior is unacceptable, and it marred what should have been an enjoyable night out. I strongly urge the venue to address this issue promptly to ensure a more welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all patrons.

Poor customer care. I really like the food here and have visited 3 times in the past. I never had a reason to give a bad review because I’ve been pretty satisfied with their overall service, until my last 2 visits on my birthday and today. The wasps in the patio during the daytime are a disturbance. On my last visit I was stung by a bee, and had my 2-month old nephew harassed by wasps and bees. When I asked if we could sit inside instead, we were told that there were not enough servers to sit inside. It was a Sunday afternoon, so I understood and we left. On my most recent visit, we requested for an inside table to avoid the wasps and mentioned that I was stung the last time I visited, but we were told once again there wasn’t enough servers to sit inside… on a Friday evening… at 5pm. I thought that was strange, but we were hungry and I really enjoy the food here, so we decided to stay. Keep in mind that indoor dining opens at 6pm and they weren’t busy at the time (only 3 tables full). From the moment we sat on the patio till the moment we left, we were pestered by wasps. It got so bad that we couldn’t eat because they were all over our food. I complained to the servers multiple times and asked if there were other options so we could enjoy our meal in peace. Their best suggestion was switching tables from a bench to a high top, which of course made no difference. We ended up having to pay our bill before the server allowed us to move to their smaller patio (with the fireplace tables). The server insisted that as long as we paid, we can “sit wherever we want”, which I think is a rude comment to make.

As someone who patronizes a number of restaurants in the Uptown area, I’ve never been to a place that was so unwilling to accommodate their customers’ needs. There is no reason why you can’t accommodate customers that feel uncomfortable being disturbed by bugs. Why should your customers not have the option to sit inside where they will feel safe to enjoy their meal tin peace??? This experience was so unpleasant and left a bad taste in my mouth. Would never recommend this spot to anyone looking for a patio, especially during...

I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to food and service at restaurants, however I was extremely disappointed at just about everything last night. My wife and her friends went there on opening night and they raved about the atmosphere and the nachos. Inside it was definitely a very cool space. Two people in our party asked for a Guinness and and Alexander Keith's, they were out of both. Obviously not a big deal. Two of us got a pint of something else, which really did not taste crisp or fresh at all. Again, it happens, not a big deal. Two of us got a pint of something else, which really did not taste crisp or fresh at all. Again, it happens, not a big deal. When we ordered, I had a burger which sounded awesome, and my buddy had a bowl of pasta. The $17 pasta looks like something that came out of a kids menu, and my $17 burger was pretty garbage and looked sad on the plate. We brought up the pasta issue with our server, and we didn't have anybody slide by to address our concerns, much like a decent establishment would do. At the end, when asked if the word had been passed on, the server just said that's how it is, and she's not sure what else to tell us. My wife's nachos were absolutely nothing like the one she had on opening night. I have no problem spending any amount of money for quality food and service, but outside of the atmosphere, this place was a huge letdown for all of us...

I made my reservation 1 week and a half in advance to celebrate my birthday at this place and I didn't expect to leave so frustrated. Some friends and I arrived at the time of reservation and when we were seated at the table someone came and said very rudely that they couldn't hold the table for the next 15 minutes and when my friends started arriving they were told that they had to wait in line and they also informed me that the security guards were extremely rude to them.

In addition to this problem, while we were there the service was terrible, no one brought us the menu, we waited half an hour for it and we only got it because we stopped someone who was passing by to ask for it.

In the end we ended up leaving and going somewhere else.

What I told the manager is that there needs to be clearer communication when a reservation is made, but it seems that people are too lazy to type because even online to make a reservation the service is terrible. There is no response, sometimes the message is viewed and ignored.

Anyway, I hope I never go back and that no one has the same experience going to this place. Best of...
