The food was warm, like the embrace of a caring mother. A feeling most would long for, achievable through the deep flavours of the napkins. This restaurant and any location of Harvey's for that matter has the best texture and flavour balance for their napkins. Pairs very well with a Jr. Spicy Chicken. Get this for 3$ you can get a spiffy chicken burger AND they cannot stop you from putting as many vegetables on it as you want!!! I got my burger made PERFECTLY to a T by Mauly. She was very polite and the cashier was exceptionally personable.
I have rarely had a chicken burger experience with enough mayonnaise and pickles but, as I asked for the third pickle there wasn't a hint of hesitation in Mauly's eyes. When I asked for the fourth pickle she understood where I was coming from. As the mayonnaise smeared into the bottom bun and perfectly held the lettuce in place it made my day. When the pickles crunched into the smush of the tomatoes I had a near religious experience.
The service was great, 10/10. But the important part to know is that the levels of deep euphoria one can experience from a burger that is 95% vegetables layered proportionally across; to create a miasma of perfect texture/audio stimulus pleasure is only $2.99 plus tax and they CANNOT stop you from asking for more pickles. The lady even noticed how I had perfectly designed this burger through meticulous and indescriminate experimentation in college. They also leave the napkin dispenser on the customer side so you get to decide how many napkins you want to pair with your meal to compliment the texture of the...
Read moreUpdate #2: I try to make things simple. I make the order online, when I get to the drive-through, I confirm the details of what I ordered, they confirm it is correct and when I get home its still wrong. This restaurants needs to get it together. Its not that hard to NOT put cheese on a burger. That is the only major detail of the order, yet they somehow consistently get it wrong.
UPDATE: I have increased the stars to four because Harvey’s did reach out and replace our order with one that was correct. They did it fairly fast as well. I still stand behind my initial statement that you should go into the restaurant to make sure your order is made properly.
Original post: I typically like Harvey’s. I will not be going through drive-through ever again. If you want to make sure you get what you asked for, better yet, what you paid for, do yourself a favour and go in the restaurant and make sure it is done properly. I suppose I just never learn my lesson because I ordered a family meal through the app. They only made one of the burgers correctly and only filled up my drink 3/4 of the way when I paid for a large. There was no ice in one of the other drinks and honestly I am surprised they filled the cups with the flavours I asked for correctly. The staff are usually pretty nice and that remained true. If you do dare go through the drive through, open up every burger and look at every drink before you drive away. That way you can avoid having to write reviews that the management is not going to care...
Read moreCame at 8pm, only one other person in line. That guy waited forever for his small bag of food, they also forgot his fries. We waited probably 10 minutes for 2 Jr Cheeseburgers. Staff wasn't very friendly, seemed irritated to be working. A lot of people working, but we couldn't figure out why it was so slow. Cheese was so small under the burger we actually had to ask if they forgot the cheese. Worker lifted the burger up to show the small piece of cheese. The burger looked smaller than usual; the worker stated that they had no Jr buns left, so we got a regular bun. Way too much sauce placed onto the burger, but I think the worker we had was new, so I get that there is a learning curve. Worker at back of grill had no beard net, no gloves. When seated, a Skip the Dishes courier came in without his bag and a worker literally yelled at him to remember his bag next time. The courier was so embarrassed he looked over at us to see if anyone heard. I actually felt bad for him. I get that they do need to bring a bag, but it's really not a big deal to say 'I'm sorry, you'll need to grab your bag from the car as it's our policy'. I'm sure they deal with that 100 times a day there and it gets frustrating, but it just made for an awful dining experience. This isn't the first time we've been disappointed here, but it will be the last....
