I’m a Starbucks regular, I get a latte every day at multiple locations around Vancouver. I travel a lot as well and always go to Starbucks regardless what city or country I’m in. I’ve always been so impressed with how polite, kind and accommodating all Starbucks staff are at each location I visit. It’s so consistent at each location. However not at this location. For the very first time, ever, I was spoken to very rudely by a Starbucks employee. Since I’m so used to being treated with kindness during the rare times there has been order mix up’s, I was completely taken back by her attitude. My husband and I came into this location on November 3rd at 1:47pm. I ordered two chai lattes, size Venti. I only ever order Venti’s. Never grandes. When our drinks were made the girl working the coffee bar announced my name and handed me two chai grandes. I let her know they were supposed to be venti’s - as that’s what I said when I ordered them. This mix up can happen every once in a while, and Starbucks always just corrects it with no issue - as mistakes happen and staff mishear you or whatever. Instead of correcting the mistake she rudely sasses me and says “well that’s what you order so that’s what we made”. Shocked by her attitude I told her that I ordered venti’s and that it was entered incorrectly in their POS - she again said “you only paid for grandes and now you’re trying to get venti’s” heavily implying I was trying to pull some con on getting larger cup sizes for free. Which is incredibly rude to imply a customer is lying and essentially trying to steal coffee. Due to how incredibly insulting this implication was, I sternly told her again that it was clearly a mix up at the POS by the employee and we wanted our order corrected because we did in fact actually order venti’s. She reluctantly remade the drinks while she was visibly whispering to other staff about how we’re trying to get free upgrades and started getting dirty looks from other staff while we waited. When she was handing them to us she then said “you might as well take these grandes too, we’ll have to just throw them out because of you”. I told her we didn’t need the grande’s. Because we didn’t, we weren’t there to con Starbucks out of free coffee, we just wanted what we ordered. Our lattes were lukewarm as well, likely due to her not giving a shit while remaking them.
I use the Starbucks mobile app. It keeps a record of all mobile orders and in-store orders. I’ve included screenshots of my past orders to prove I only ever order Venti’s and the day I was at this Starbucks two grandes were entered by the employee working the POS, even though I said Venti.
To the girl who made our drinks: dark hair, wears too much makeup - you definitely need to retake the Starbucks customer service training and learn how to be more polite and respectful to customers. If you’re unable to improve your attitude, then Starbucks isn’t the place you should be working.
By reading some of the other negative reviews at this location, I don’t plan to return to...
Read moreI came in with my family and we were "helped" by this barista named Neda. We ordered 2 grandes and 2 tall drinks. Firstly, she gave one of our grande drinks as a tall. When we corrected her saying that we ordered a grande, she turned to us and said, "no, you guys ordered a tall" in a snarky, condescending attitude. Secondly, my father ordered a coffee with two creams and two sugars. When he tasted the drink, it was obvious she didn't put any in. We asked her if she added any, and she said "yeah, you wanted a double double, right?" and proceeded to use air quotations to emphasize her point. My father just asked for some honey, and fixed the coffee himself. My father used to have good experience at this starbucks and was really excited to come back. But her attitude made him have the worse experience compared to any starbucks location. It really broke my heart to see him so upset. Not only that, my mother asked for an Americano in a small size, and she gave it to her in those PUPPUCINO cups! Like really? From the moment we entered those doors, she did not ONCE give us a smile or a hello. She is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. If she doesn't like this job, I don't understand why she works here and ruin other people's day. From the other reviews, it does not look like this was uncommon for her. If you go to this Starbucks, save yourself a nice day and go to another one, or do not get helped by the...
Read moreWorst Starbucks location ever! Most of the staff, if not all, have a face like fizz at all times: No expression except that of wanting to either kill themselves or quit their job right at that moment. Major attitude, slower then molasses going uphill on a Winter's day, and often get your order wrong anyway. My mom said she went to it a few months ago and the manager was "training" a new employee (God help us) and had the biggest mouth on her. She was literally talking so loud over the shoulder of a different zombie of a staff member that my mom had trouble communicating one coffee order to the barista. My mom also complained to them at that time that their water tap at the barista bar had been constantly dripping for 2 months. Now, considering Starbucks is supposed to be all about a sustainable Earth, you'd think they'd notice that and get it fixed. Turns out as of yesterday, that damn tap is still dripping and wasting water. Who the hell are these lowlifes and why does such a large company hire incompetent people like this to be the face of this location? Take your business to one of the hundreds more locations in Vancouver and save yourself the possibility of one of these disgruntled workers spitting into...
