Went here with my boyfriend for dinner while in Whistler. We both got burritos (him beef and myself, chicken). While my burrito was okay, my boyfriend's was not. The meat was terrible. It was practically mush and both generally love slow cooked meat. Upon talking to the staff regarding this my boyfriend was given a complimentary meal card to try la cantina again. This was incredibly nice of them and we appreciated it.
We went on our second last day to try the tacos instead. We stayed away from the beef altogether and ordered 2 x chicken tinga, 1 x pork cochnita and 1 x Asian pork tacos. Read moreThe La Cantina at nesters is absolutely phenomenal! This is the location to go to, always! The service is absolutely top-tier, everyone is so friendly, the food is phenomenally delicious, it comes out so fresh and fast. Denise and Jackie, are absolute sweethearts, seriously, the best customer service. They are absolutely wonderful about showing you the ingredients in the meals and know exactly what the food contains, you feel very confident, eating there with food allergies because they are so confident and educated on allergies and what’s in the food. Great place to go if you’re gluten-free, celiac or anaphylaxis. Can’t wait to come in again, we are locals and absolutely love this restaurant!! 😍☺️

I was particularly impressed that they also served flautas and chilaquiles—these are things that usually found only in “real” Mexican restaurants, not usually tourist traps. That made it feel more authentic for me. The service was super friendly (the young lady who worked the counter came up and checked to make sure that the food was good, even though this is a fast casual place, not a formal sit-down restaurant). Overall, if...
