I am not one to share negative experiences, but this was so horrific, I feel compelled to share with others; if for no other reason than to save someone else from making the same mistake.
My son lives 1/4 time in Creekside and frequents this place as he said the food is great. It was my birthday and we wanted to go over and have a couple of drinks, dinner and play darts. After ordering drinks, we asked to use their darts and were told we would have to do the chicken dance first. We sat back at the table while the locals at the bar counter and the staff all mocked us. After about 10 minutes, when we were going to order food and more drinks (note 4 drinks = $50) we asked our waitress about the darts and she was so rude, I was shocked! She was super amped up and started thrashing around yelling at us that we had to dance to get the darts. I calmly said, we will take our business someplace else; she yelled back - I don't care! She went and got our check and slammed the machine on the table. I paid cash and we left. Wow Wow wow.
They missed out on at least a $300 tab and I plan to spread the word to others - NEVER...
Read moreI visited here with my friends for dinner, and I want to share my bad experiences. I'm a local in whistler for 15 years, I never had this rude service from any servers. We ordered many beers during staying, and one of my friends ordered cider, but it was not served for a while. Then I tried to ask our server, "Is it for my table?". She said, "I'm trying to talk with someone else."(even she didn't start to talk with someone) then I said, okay, and went to washroom. After I left there, the server(Katie) mocked me with other customers, derided me and my friends saw and heard what she did it behind me. We were so upset! Kate seemed like belittled to our table(only girls).. Moreover, many of my friends had spent time here, and now I worry about they had the same experience like a racial discrimination from the server(Katie). Food is good, beer is good, one of your servers' services is bad. No matter how busy you are, there are actions to be done and things not to be said. One thing needs to remember that Whistler has a...
Read moreBeen a few times to this place, solely because the food is great. Service could improve, I always want more drinks but can never get the servers attention. One time I ordered a Caesar and tried to get the attention of my server three times as she walked from the table to my left to the table to my right, not being aware of me at all. After 20-25 minutes of trying to ordered a second Caesar I walked out. I would have liked to continue ordering drinks and then food had I had the service to do so. I just went back and although the service had improved it still wasn’t great. Management, could you teach your staff to have floor awareness, if you are walking by one of your table, look to see if their drink is low, or if they are making eye contact, of in my case yelling “excuse me”. Despite the casual service, the food has always been great pub food. Especially the steak sandwich which has fantastic fried onions with it. Also, wear warm clothing in the winter. It’s always freezing and as a result everyone wears...
