Updated based on owner's reply, "Thank you for your evaluation, we will try our best to do our best! Thank you!" Now, got some idea where the arrogance of the girl comes from. The restaurant is spreading that vibe every second. No apology, no follow-up action, just an empty thank-you. Also looked at how the owner replied other comments. Same words. Probably all done by automatic robotic reply. No matter what you say, they will always reply "Thank you for your evaluation, we will try our best to do our best! Thank you!"
Dine in twice and take out twice. First, my experience with dine in. lunch buffet is very busy. Only one meat, which is chicken wings/legs. Gone within minutes of refill. Very few dish varieties. 2 separate dining areas. The waitress never comes to refill water in my sitting area and only walks to the other area where kids are screaming. Got it. Only refill water if kids scream? But I cannot behave like a screaming kid. I have to hold the empty glass to the check-out area and ask for the water. Even after that, the waitress still never comes to my sitting area to refill water. So if you need to refill water, better sits with the screaming kids in the other sitting area. If you don’t have good hearing, then you can enjoy your lunch with water. Second take out. Family members paid the meal in full and asked to deliver to my residence. Intended as a kind surprise, I have no knowledge that they ordered for me. They live outside of YT. Was very hungry and about to eat and heard the doorbell ring. A girl with food in hand asked if this is the address. Yes it is. then the girl asked for the phone number. I don’t know. I don’t order it and only later that my family members told me. Then the girl said "I won’t give you the food since you cannot tell me the phone number". What is the problem? The address is correct. The bill is paid in full. Why? Why not giving me the food? The girl’s attitude is also very impressively arrogant. In the food-service industry, what does serve mean? “Rich people are jerks and have tons of power to push their jerky policy preferences”. So the girl is definitely rich. Why deliver food then, rich girl? To enrich your life...
Read moreI arrived at the Fortune House 10 minutes before their posted closing time on Thursday night. I was flying out the next morning at 5:10 AM and I had not eaten any dinner. When I walked in they were closing up, chairs were stacked on tables and they were cleaning the floor. I looked at them and I asked if I could still come in. The owner looked at the staff and without hesitation they invited me in. After admiring the menu, I decided to have the veggie lo Mein and a spring roll. I was shocked at the portion size. For the price I was paying I still can not believe how much food they brought me. This meal was delicious and filling. I doubted myself at first, but I could not stop eating it. I ended up vanquishing the plate, which kept me satisfied until I landed in Vancouver the following morning. Thank you to the staff for staying...
Read moreI want to like it, but I'm finding that the flavours are not what they used to be. New cook maybe? It's hard to find a Chinese restaurant in town that has constantly good food. It's like each place does one thing great and the rest..meh. It's not bad, just not great. Garlic ribs dry or honey should not be battered like the sweet and sour version. It should be meat on bone ribs not riblets. What's with the weird giant baby corn in the Cantonese Chow mein. It's no longer baby corn. It's hard and inedible. The sauce is wrong and noodles are chopped!!! Weird and unpleasant. I'll have to find...
