Chatime (Outlets) — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Every time I come back to Winnipeg, I like to browse around the Outlets and get a bubble tea from this place. Since I've been here many times, I had a little chat with the staff. I jokingly asked the staff, 'Why does it feel like you guys are a bit reserved every time I come? Is it because I look a bit fierce?' The staff apologized and then explained that in their culture, humility and modesty are traditional values. Service staff are expected to focus more on actions than words, and this cultural approach extends to many large chain businesses in their country. I always buy here just because my daughter loves boba, and it's conveniently located near our mall entrance and exit. However, I've consistently noticed that the drinks are often filled with too much ice, the pearls lack flavor, and most notably, the manager (I presume, given his poor attitude) is impolite. When I inquired about a trash bin for the straw wrapper, he claimed they didn't have one in the store. It left me puzzled - where do they dispose of their own waste? Dissapointed with the costumer service. The elder lady beside the cashier rolled her eyes when I ask the cashier if she can change the size of my drinks to a regular one (my order wasn't finalized and I haven't paid yet, but I did apologize for the changes). Also, like what the other reviewers have said, one of the staff there (and it sounds like it's the same person) giving out our drinks also slammed our straws and one of our drinks.
