I recently visited the KFC on Regent between Plessis and Lagimodiere for a bite to eat. Upon arrival I noticed that their drive-thru was busy so I put a mask on and went in to order. When I got into the resturant there was an older gentleman standing just inside the entrance door and a younger couple just receiving their order. The younger couple did not leave out the exit side but left out the entrance which is clearly posted. This wasn't the worst thing that I have come across being out in public since the shut down, but what was to come made me really upset. The older gentleman seated himself in an area that was clearly blocked off, first no no. I placed my order and was told it would be right up. I noticed that the older gentleman that had seated himself in an area that was clearly blocked off and was no longer wearing a mask at all, this is what really made me upset, second and worst no no of all. None of the staff said anything to this "gentleman" (using the term lightly). He seemed to be having a full blown conversation with ear buds through his cell phone. My order came up and I exited the resturant ASAP. I must say that the staff that took my order and dealt with me were very polite and professional and the food was hot and tasty. Read moreHaven't had much of an issue with this KFC, be it ordering inside, at the drive-thru, or through SkipTheDishes. Sure, some orders take a bit of time but nothing egregious, though at what other KFC is that not the case? It definitely does look a bit dated on the outside as well as most of the inside, which will likely become more apparent once the Plessis / Park City Commons location opens in the fall. Wouldn't be a half-bad place to eat in at, if that's your thing.
March 2022 update: since I posted this review about 2 and a half years ago this KFC has been remodeled and freshened up. An annoyance that has come up with the drive-thru is the addition of a second drive-thru window for paying for your order much like other chains. I hate to say it but at this particular KFC, there simply isn't enough space to make it work as oftentimes even with two average size cars, the back car won't have room to pull up to the payment window until the front car gets their order, which obviously slows things down a fair bit; thus I've taken a star away. One window clearly worked much better as it did pre-renovation. I've largely been avoiding KFC as a whole to vote with my wallet against their removal of many medium and XL options (on things like fries and gravy) under the guise of "streamlining our menu" but I can happily report that the couple of times that I have been dragged here by family members that the quality hasn't appreciably changed...
Read moreOrdered the plant-based sandwich as I have dozens of times before from multiple KFC locations. The sandwich I got was the regular chicken sandwich not the plant based, but when I went back around the drive thru the girl insisted it was plant based and refused to take it back/replace it because she claimed it was a new recipe for the plant based and that's why it seemed different from what I remembered. I know the difference between real chicken I just didn't have the time to stay and make a big deal about it. I'm wondering if they're literally doing it on purpose because the plant based costs twice as much as the regular chicken sandwich. This is the second time in a row this has happened to me at two different KFC locations. There is no "new recipe", they're just serving regular chicken to people who paid twice as much to get the plant-based sandwich. I ate the sandwich anyway because I was hungry and had already spent $9, but I regretted it in a couple hours because my body is not used to digesting meat. It would be bad enough if it was the same price, but paying 2x for the same disappointment is making me not want to trust any KFC anymore.
