Taco Bell — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Don’t go here. If you’re hungry go to the A&W or Jolibee close by, trust me it’s worth the extra drive. Food was fine, but the place was a mess all around. Dirty is an understatement; tables that looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since the location opened (I’m talking crumbs, grease, sauce packets just left there), under the table was a whole new story, old trash like napkins, lettuce that fell out of whatever the person previously sat there was eating, cup lids etc, and Flys, so many flys everywhere. Staff; the (what I’m assuming is (wearing a different uniform and leading others)) manager was friendly when talking to customers but very openly rude to his staff behind the counter (as in loud), the other staff made no effort to complete the order properly. My friend and I ordered dine-in, when my name is called the food is in a bag and I politely tell them it was for dine in (at Popeyes for example they just do the simple task of taking the food out the bag and putting it on a tray, as good customer service would), the lady working there proceeded to stare me dead in the eye after I said that as if I’d asked her to remake all my food (I literally said “oh I thought I got it for dine in”) and just repeated herself saying “here’s your food sir”. At that point I just took it. Nobody seemed happy to be working there or like they wanted customers to return. Environment; it was hot. Really hot. I was wearing shorts and a short sleeve, it must’ve been around 28° in there with no exaggeration. To anyone that read this far, go somewhere else you deserve better. Two days ago my friend went through their drive thru late evening and they did not acknowledge he was there even though he called “Hello” numerous times over 10 mins. He called the store by telephone and when they asked if they were open they said yes, drive thru only. He said he is at drive thru and no one is responding. They asked “are you the one who keeps saying hello?” so it’s obvious they knew he was there. They told him that there was something wrong with the sensor but even still, they made it clear they knew he was there. They made him wait 20 mins for food and still messed up the order. Today, at 12:30 we went into the drive thru line and got stuck. It was the same thing for all of us in line. They would not speak to you through the speaker. This caused a big backup. Many gave up and drove off when they got to turn towards the window but easy exit is blocked because of the massive sign blocking the way so you are stuck if someone is at the window. The guy in front of me pulled to the window and I timed that it took 10 mins for him to just PLACE his order and after paying, he was parked. I pulled up and asked if their speaker was broken and the woman said “no we’re just busy” It took me 5 mins to make my order and pay and I was still parked. One of two things is happening 1) This is a deliberate tactic by staff to deter drive thru orders, (my suspicion otherwise why wouldn’t they put up a sign saying drive to window) or 2) the staff do not know how to operate the equipment and have no supervision. This place has gone downhill in many ways. This goes for KFC and Taco Bell. I was going through drive through with someone as we were on our way to get someplace. I ordered Taco Bell while the other person got KFC. Let's start with KFC, it was terrible. The food was cooked using old oil in the fryer while the chicken and the fries were terrible. Even though I have had bad experiences at other KFC locations, the fries are still usually good. But this is a joke. The other person in the car stopped eating the food. I took a taste and it was as bad as mentioned. And Taco Bell was no better. I ordered a Nacho's supreme with my steak Burrito. What's so supreme about it? Nothing! Just a bit of cheese and beef, little bit of sour cream. That's all. What a joke. Not to mention they forgot to give us our reciept. Did you guys forget or purposely do it so we can't ask for a refund? I last came here two years ago, and it was better than this. Well, you did better before and now you guys blew it.
