Such a cool place! Got takeaway tonight and ordered the eggplant and mozzarella sandwich, the fish fillet sandwich, the mac and cheese, and the corn on the cob special. Everything was so good and very filling. The eggplant sub was nicely spicy and the eggplant itself was excellent. It was great having so much thick mozzarella in there as well. The bun was also outstanding. I could actually taste the sesame. And it held together the saucy salady messiness in the sub. The fish in the fish fillet sandwich was flaky and moist and the sandwich had plenty of tartar sauce. The smoked mac and cheese actually was smokey, and was very creamy. We really liked this side dish. The corn on the cob special was completely coated in Flamin Cheetos and some kind of herb sauce. Definitely the tastiest and unhealthiest corn I've had. My parter commented "that was a bit much" after eating her piece. I already can't wait to go back to try everything else...

I'm not going to lie, I was initially skeptical about Kosmos. A friend recommended them and upon looking it up I was confused but intrigued. The name is eccentric and the website is eclectic. I had to give it a try.

I ordered the tater tot poutine with a side of coleslaw and I was not disappointed! The portions were big and even after the drive home the tots were still extremely crispy and the gravy was flavorful. The coleslaw was also amazing and I've never had one like it before. The dressing was creamy and unique and the ingredients were fresh.

I ordered the Cuban sandwich when it was a weekend special. Everything you want a sandwich to be, this was it. Winnipeg has plenty of great restaurants that do exceptional things, but Kosmos has something special. This Cuban has defined the standard of what sandwich should be. Bread, perfection. The meat, exceptional. Pickles added the perfect acidity to cut the richness. Swiss cheese was not mellow kraft slices that make you think did i buy white cheddar? But cut in at the right time to enhance the taste. The sides are sides and are good value, but not the stars.
